I just checked the thread topic (page 1, post 1), and it doesn't say anything about grammer or spelling.

MJ is talking about the correct way to start a thread. He is talking about reading before you post. He is talking about respecting others. No grammer. No spelling.

No one is going to be too upset if English isn't your first language (Hello! This is CR, English isn't the first language of the whole reason for the site!). No one is going to be upset if you have dislexia or any other reading comprehension disorders (nod to Erline's Syndrome).

I totally agree that this should be a sticky post (kinda like a post-it?), and I think it should be tagged as a must read.

I have seen several good(and several not-so-good) points in this thread so far. While I personally try to avoid the whole leet speech thing, and can't stand when people type like they are sending a text message, I won't bust someones balls for it. As far as I am concerned about that and improper grammar, go nuts! If you're not ashamed/embarrassed by your education level or lack of coherent thought, then who am I to judge? Of course, those ESL individuals are completely forgiven for any in fracture (as far as I am concerned anyway).

Hell, I myself am guilty of bad grammar and spelling. Does this make me a bad person? I think not. So let up on those points a bit people.

You could also add to keep quoting to a minimum because it just stretches the page.

A valid point also. There are a few ways to adhere to this:

1) Don't quote the person if they are directly above you, just add the "^" to denote you are replying to that message.

2) Try to quote only the relevant parts of the post you are quoting. You don't need to quote the entire thing and 4 million other quotes within that quote to respone to a single sentence or phrase.

Anyway - my 2 cents.

i respect everyone's post...even if its a stupid post, i still respect them for being stupid...and the fact that i don't know you guys personally, i don't mind if your post have sense or not...i'll be the judge of that, like sorting facts from fallacies...the important thing is don't ever try to provoke or insult someone, i guess thats respect...lol

At last a Forum Mod has actually made this official and even gone as far as making a thread dedicated to it. it is true alot of people are making daft threads, and the thread usually ends up going off on a tangent and talking of things which have nothing to do witt the thread. Lets just hope people adhere to this way of posting and leave their old ways.

^ sadly, I don't think it will change anything... the most idiotic thing to do is to start a thread that's been stickied... and believe me, that happens all the time... How could they not see it posted on the top of the forum sections?

Sigh... It's amazing how the mind cancels out the most important things...

所持ッ!!(Correct me if I used the wrong Kanji for "Indeed")

I gettin' tired of these bad grammar-using noobs, and their poorly spelled posts....I could care less if you didn't learn English as your first language. >_>
