not true.. not anymore
peoplr try all the time to look like something... some sort of style
the slut look
the emo look
the freak look
the -I-don't-care-what-other-people-think-of-me look
and more
there are groups in our society and people try to fit in into those groups.. everyone in his own way.

People try to look like something because they are trying to find themselves through trial and error. There are no people "Trying to fit into groups"--there are no groups in society. Groups exist because of people needing to classify things in order to have a good sense of their environment. Everyone will morph looks from time to time--shedding each layer of skin till they find one that is comfortable enough.

My question for you, madam, is why did you post this forum? You could have wasted your CR points on a topic worthwhile instead of an opinion you already hold.

well I noticed alot of people don't know the difference between emos punks.....
and I wanted to see how many people love them.. or hate them... or ok with some of them...

Emo, goth, punk are recognised subcultures largely based on music movements with their own established fashion and idealogical. Freak, slut, I-don't-care-what-people-think-of-me are not. They are basically name calling.
Apparently you don't know the difference.

Interesting. What is your desire for other's opinions? What compels you to know?

Does it really matter? They're all trying to be different by acting stereotypical.

Well, first off, it is not love they seek. It is attention which can then morph into this "love" you speak of. You see, humans need interaction in order to maintain a healthy life. Everyone seeks attention. Its how male frogs mate--they show off in order to reproduce. Of course they aren't trying to be something to gain attention only because they aren't all that intelligent and because they just was to reproduce.

Secondly, referring back to what I said; Trial and Error. Everyone will continue to shape shift into whatever form they please in order to find the true skin they are comfortable with. We will eventually succeed weather by giving up or not--truth is, there will always be someone there who is always going to accept us, no matter who or what we've become.

I still do not understand what you meant by saying "Freaks" due to the improper grammar, etc. So you call people freaks because they over-care from what other people think? I cannot help but feel that because I was curious to understand your desire to know other people's biased opinions, you said "freak".

And because your second sentence about wannabe's has absolutely no parallelism to the first sentence, you threw me for a loop.
Throw me a bone, will you? I'm a bit lost.

Wait, so you want to be categorized? You want conformity? Where is your individualism, my dear youth?

I just have to ask... what do you want?
you ask why I opened this post I answered.
I wanted to know how many people love or hate other guys who are a bit I'd say.. diffrent
but for some reason you forcibly keep comparing that to wannabes.
And you repeat your words

ah, ok. Now I'm on the right page. =) I had to reread our whole conversation at least four times...not that that's really important.

I am not comparing wannabe's to, apparently, the other "respected" categories you mentioned. Everyone, regardless of whom they are or are trying to be, will morph themselves through time. It is unfair to judge people based on what and who they want to be simply because what they are doing does not appeal to anyone. We have all went through these stages of what "category" we want to be. The only category that should exist is : Ourself.

People will have to learn the hard way, that by judging another leads to judgement upon them.

Lastly, what do i want? Nothing, really. I just wanted to have a heated discussion with someone who has a strong standpoint. I was getting bored over the internet and decided a good heated discussion sounded nice. This discussion has been very entertaining for myself and I thank you for that. Too bad it wasn't about religion. ;] I like the arguments.
