Uh *raises hand* I support day dreaming! I do it all the time; in fact, my friends deem me completely ignorant to the rest of humanity. (Hey, I just have a lot to think about, and I'm an introvert) And I'm VERY thankful to the Wright brothers, thank you! Without modern planes, how the heck do I plan to get the Japan one day then?

Being a active thinker is on the opposite spectrum of being a more ignorant person. You figure things out, solve thoughts and come to conclusions through your thoughts. To take that away would lead to zombie infested ignorance of people who can not make their own decisions and do whatever they are told is good for them.

Guess what, the guys pulling strings want you to stop thinking for yourself, because this benefits them. It's why modern media is filled with fallacies and less than honest things. It's why reality shows that aren't anything like reality are so big, because it's a time people don't really want to think, so the more of these mind numbing shows they throw out, the less likely for individual thought people will be likely to have.

To sum it all up, day dreaming is bad... You know, the thing that is also very similar to brain storming. The wright brothers dreamed about flying, but if what this article says is true, they weren't really the wright brothers, they were the wrong brothers... Oh dear.

They say ignorance is bliss, and so they decided to write this nice little article explaining it.

lol reading comprehension fail. Where does it ever

ive
F it just says to not wander your mind off while doing your task. Brain storming is thinking of ideas for what you're going to write about so thats focused thinking not daydreaming. Know what they're actually trying to say before you accuse them of trying to make you even more ignorant than you are now if that were even possible

Day dreaming and brainstorming are both the exact same things at the core, the only difference is that a brainstorm is generated by force to think in a planned format. While day dreaming is triggered by your subconscious and is not subject specific... More epiphanies and amazing ideas come from mind wandering than a forced thought cycle like a brainstorm. This is in fact why we brain storm to begin with, in order to mimic ingenuity brought through random thoughts.

Look at it this way, if our minds weren't free to think about things at random, we wouldn't even have such a thing as brainstorming.

I know 'exactly' what they are talking. Thanks for the baseless insult. I have come to expect nothing more from you.

Hurrrr derrrr i'm ignorant.

no. Daydreaming is letting your mind wander off while brainstorming is thinking of ideas for what you are planning to write. End of topic. You just want to rile up people into thinking there are people out there trying to trick them into making them into mindless zombies by twisting the words of the article with your own sick reasoning.

gg at reading the first 9 words of what I wrote and then saying I am wrong. Read a little further and I said pretty much the same thing you did right here.

You Daydreaming is letting your mind wander off while brainstorming is thinking of ideas for what you are planning to write.

Me brainstorm is generated by force to think in a planned format. While day dreaming is triggered by your subconscious and is not subject specific

Wow!

Brainstorming Is spawned by what we know about day dreaming and deep thinking. Exact same things at the core.

It says letting your mind wonder leads to a bad mood, but that's not really harmful unless you remain in that bad mood for a continued amount of time.

You can't truly be aware of your own ignorance of a subject because the moment you are aware of your ignorance, you are no longer ignorant because you one know something. Even if is that you know nothing about said subject.

Daydreaming can be a great form of escape sometimes :3
It depends on the individual's mind as to what it is they think about.
