Crunchyroll staffers know that this would be eventually mentioned also along with the support already provided to the mobile platforms.

I had recently purchased a an HTC phone with the Windows Phone 7 mobile OS. I figured I'd start the long process of asking for the Crunchyroll app to be ported to that mobile platform as well. Thanks!

We're currently working on an Android app as well as other apps so work on a Windows Phone 7 app probably would not come until after those are completed. Also, I don't think any of us have a Windows Phone 7 phone so we'll need to buy one and do some lengthy research before any actual work starts on it.

Great point. The .Net platform makes it very easy and Microsoft has offered all the tools available for free for developers. WP7 is still new so I can see how Crunchyroll would want to invest more of their time to already established platforms. I'm just hoping to see it come to this platform also.

some of the barriers that you pointed out in the android forum are not in the wp7 platform, seemingly. Netflex is already on wp7 so maybe crunchyroll might be relatively easier to develop than an android version.

Windows have made the process fairly easy and they're already accepting proposals from people.

I think that most of the applications that are out now on WP7 are very well develped and were avaliable pretty much at launch (or shortly after)... so it must be fairly easy to develop for

The Orange wednesday app is (that's a UK thing, sorta like a movie trailer/review app).... isn't even avaliable for Android and it was out on WP7 amost straight away!

Need i mention i have a windows phone 7 AND i would LOVE a crunchyroll app please

I, too, am looking for a Windows Phone 7 app for Crunchyroll to put on my LG Quantum. I have the Netflix one and it works great, but I would find great use out of an app for Crunchyroll, as well. As was said, it should be relatively simple given the tools and support that Microsoft has provided. Given that there is a working Netflix app, I doubt that Crunchyroll should run into any real hurdles.

It would be great if we have a CrunchyRoll app for the WP7...... its big screen makes it better to watch your favorite anime and/or drama (HTC HD7)

Have you had much success / decent quality watching via the m.crunchyroll.com site? I'm thinking about Windows Phone 7 myself and would be interested to know how it works.

I have the HTC surround and I did try it but it didn't seem to do anything, otherwise, the browser works great for the rest of Crunchyroll. I was actually begging the Crunchyroll staff at Sakuracon to made a WP7 app. While Winmo has been around, the WP7 is a totally new and different platform and they pretty much do have interest but would rather keep working on the app for the more established mobile platforms but they didn't rule it out. I honestly love this phone, moving from the iPhone 3G, that I'm hoping at the WP7 platform gains more traction that we'll see something soon.

I know this is a bit late, but here's the main site. http://create.msdn.com/en-US/. I'm still an amateur learning programming, but from my understanding it's based on .net and silverlight. I've always loved the MSDN site, so much great resources.

Windows Phone 7 will most likely be the next smartphone platform that we support. We were supposed to get a Windows Phone 7 device from Microsoft months ago but they still haven't sent us it. So we keep bugging them about it but continue to work on other projects.
