We've been working on an experimental new feature for our iOS apps. In our latest update, we've added TV/video out.

This means you can watch Crunchyroll on your big screen TV now! All you need is the Apple Component Cable and plug it in from your iPhone or iPad to your TV component jacks. You can also use this cable for other apps, like Netflix.

This feature is for Premium Members only.

A few caveats since this is super beta:
- update your app to the latest version
- need to get the Apple Component Cable
- Premium Members only
- only works on iPhone 4 and iPad (for some reason it's buggy on 3G and 3GS, we're working to fix it)
- the controls sometime disappear after the first video

P.S. We've merged the iPad and iPhone apps into a universal binary. iPad users, please remove the iPad-only app and install the new universal binary! You'll see two of them in the app store, just pick the one with the + plus sign.

Other ways to view Crunchyroll on your TV:
- Boxee Box. This was just released last week. $199 from Amazon.
- X-Box Live Marketplace (this is pay per episode for a few select shows like Giant Killing and Haruhi
- other set top boxes coming soon
- oh, Android coming soon too (for phones, not TV)

I've already been watching Crunchyroll on my big screen TV via a $5 HDMI cable and my notebook for months now But I guess this cool for those apple users. The future Android support is also appreciated.

I can't wait for the Android usage.

Since I already use my big screen TV as a PC monitor (got my PC hooked up to it with an HDMI cable), this is pretty much moot, But for those who don't have this setup at home: yeah you guys are gonna love Crunchyroll on your 52-inch. I know I do.
