I'm also wondering about the iPod Touch in this scenario. I don't own an iPhone, so if the iPod touch isn't compatible it looks like I won't be able to take advantage of this. ^^;

man really? just use your PS3.. go to web browser and get to the vid.. and maximize.. cool feature.. but needlessly expensive.. if you already have a laptop.. ps3... or xbox360...
another way to do it is to run S-Video to HD cables from comp to TV.. or HDMI to HDMI depending on the video card. app is nice.. but for anyone that has tech knowledge has figured out how to do it long ago. only thing i can see this app being useful for is simplicity.. makes it plug and play with zero knowledge of AV. |

wish money was a freedom, not a restriction, maybe one day it will switch.

Not everyone owns an iOS device also owns a PS3, laptop, or xbox. While the PS3 can play videos there are often times when the video artifacts and pauses (especially right before a subtitle gets displayed, there is a slight chop in the video) and the PS3 is unable to smoothly play back 720p video in fullscreen. Anyone who says it does I would like for them to post a video of theirs working as I have tried it on both a fat and slim PS3 and getting the 720p videos to play is almost impossible. As for using an Xbox, the last time I checked not all Crunchyroll videos were available for viewing on the Zune marketplace. I also think you have to have a paid Xbox live membership, so you end up paying more to watch the same shows you can watch for free on the CR website or with a PS3. |

I honestly hate using the game consoles web browsers. >< Just seems to take forever to navigate for me. Though I have to say like I mentioned before ever since the new netflix program came out for the PS3 I've been using it probably 500% more now. (Especially since they nixed the whole needing a disk part!) That's why I'm all for a crunchy program being made for the PS3!!! That and I don't have to buy new cables lol! Also, about the fact that not everyone owns those things you have to realize that a lot of people don't have an Iphone or pad or android phone still might own a wii, x-box, or laptop. Also, xbox 360 has a deal with netflix. The users of netflix don't pay anything extra to use the netflix application on their console. They already pay for the netflix membership, and the xbox was the first console to have the capability to use netflix so it became a big marketing gain for microsoft. Though it soon spread to the wii and PS3. This also helped netflix because it could draw in members that didn't have good computers if one at all, yes some people still haven't gotten the memo, but had cheaper gaming consoles. Let's face it gaming consoles are turning into mini-computers now why not start having the application revolution come to them as well? |

Seeing as how this thread is specifically for iOS devices, you can pretty much assume that the people that are interested in this feature already own an iOS device.. That is why I said that not everyone who already owns an iOS device may not own a ps3, xbox, or laptop. There are other threads specifically for talking about The other methods of watching Crunchyroll. The TV out functionality gives one more alternative to watching Crunchyroll. People who come in here just to say that "TV out for the iOS app is pointless and you should just use X system instead" are just trolling. |

So ... are they ever going to release an app for PS3. -.- Hurry up CR!
If not I wish Hulu or netflix would add more anime titles. I almost never watch regular TV and it would be nice to watch some anime on my PS3. Granted I know I could stream it from my PC through to my TV, but thats just annoying, everytime I have to swap HDMI cords back to my PS3 since my TV only has one HDMI port... Also I have to leave my laptop by the TV across the room to do it, so everytme I want to switch an episode I have to get up and do it, instead of just being able to use a remote or PS3 controller to toggle to the next episode... Oh, and to the people who seem to think that the PS3's web browser works well with CR.. yeah.. not likely. Its so damn clunky that by the time I get to Cr's website and choose a video Im so frustrated Id rather do anything else but sit and watch the episode. Oh and did I mention the flash through PS3 seems outdated and often has issues just loading CR... |

I just log into the website normal and stream it as if I was on my Desktop or Laptop. Honestly I doubt I'd use an app if one came out... it's not really necessary. I also have a G2 with 2.1 update,but I can't watch any crunchyroll videos on it, how do you do it? you should have flash installed from the android market, that's it really :P if it's still not showing, make sure that "enable plug-ins" in the setting is "always on" or " on demand" I can't seem to find flash on the android market anywhere You said that you have Android 2.1 on your T-Mobile G2 but you need Android 2.2 in order to install Adobe Flash 10.1. So you'll need to upgrade the operating system. |

I use an hdmi adapter to watch Anime from my iphone 4 to my TV, it works great until I finish an episode then the CR app will just be a black screen. it stays that way until I fully turn off and turn back on my iphone, exiting the app and removing the hdmi adapter doesn't fix it. Im not sure if this is where I should say this but it seemed like a good place
