What is everyone's thoughts on the 'new' CCA manga, Beyond the Time?

I've just got around to reading chapter 2 which focuses on Nanai's back-story and I have to say, I know that Gundam manga is not canon but I'm slightly annoyed.

Sure Nanai showed slight Newtype abilities at the end of CCA (knowing that something was up with Char) but nothing near the "second coming of Lalah Sune" that the scientist is commenting on at the end of the chapter.

Unless she somehow loses her powers or never fully develops as a Newtype, this is one big twist of the story. But I'm still glad as always to see new CCA material, so I'll just sit back and keep reading.
