Lots of Flash crashes (unusable) with both Firefox and Iron(Chrome). Plugin 10.1.102.64, Win7x64.

IE8, Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.1.85.3 works fine with Crunchyroll, so not I'm not dead in the water...

And now IE8 isn't working, even for the video I just played.

Flash 10.1.102.64
Windows 7 64 bit
Firefox.

Its been crashing regularly for the past 2 weeks on crunchyroll only. All other websites using flash work fine.

Frustrated is an understatement. I will be canceling my membership if this continues into December since I'm basically paying for a service that I can't use.

Whatever it is...it's failing with the latest flash update which I'm really regretting on getting right now....<.< what was wrong with the old flash?

It was working last night...and as I updated everything....all went to hell...

Dunno what happened, but a day or so ago Crunchyroll started working again. Yay! Not sure what happened but thanks to whoever fixed it!

I'm not exactly sure, but I noticed everything went bad when i started to see limelight networks on the IP list when I visit crunchyroll. Might be an issue on their end rather then the flash player itself. >_>

AFAIK, you cannot uninstall it, but you can turn it off and use another Flash installation:

It does rarely work after some combination of uninstall reinstall and cache clearing but mostly I get crash messages. Even tried changing dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to -1 but no luck.

EDIT: After reading this tread i saw someone say its only a problem on the newer stuff, so I tried out some Strike Witches 2 episodes and they worked perfectly fine. Went back to milky holms episode 6 and it instantly crashed. So yeah it does seem to be new stuff only.

EDIT 2: Everything seems to be working perfectly on my powerful pc without messing with anything. The problem seems to only come from my less powerful laptop. Unfortunately the laptop is how I prefer to watch crunchyroll.

On my 32bit desktop I sometimes get a crash, but a quick page reload fixes it.

On my 64bit laptop I often get a crash and reloading doesn't help.

Both computers use firefox

Also, on my laptop, when I try the videos in IE8 they never crash (but videos are choppier, so I prefer Firefox... when it works of course)

As others noted it seems to happen more with newer series (HD ones)

I've had issues where I'll leave a video paused and then start up a game like WoW or such, and when I come back, flash has crashed, and no number of reload attempts will fix it.

The solution that I've found that works for me seemingly 100% of the time, is clearing my web browser cache.

I use Firefox and this works on both WinXP and Vista platforms so far as I've tested.

So for those who have problems with flash crashing, try clearing your browser cache and see if it works.

Have been having this since about a month. Upgraded to latest version of flash (two or three weeks ago) and still happens.

What I do to get around it is start the previous episode (which crashed the week before) and then move the timeline to the end so it jumps to the current episode. Has worked every time since I started doing that.

And as has been said, this problem is only with newer episodes AND crunchyroll. No problem on other sites.
