I've also been having this problem for a while. I just downloaded 10.2 as advised on the first page and it works now.

I also am having the problem. Updated to latest official Flash version yesterday then it started crashing. I tried clearing both the Flash cache and the browser cache. Also tried getting the 10.2 version and that didn't work. I'm having no problem viewing video on either Youtube or Hulu.

Edit : Disabled flash acceleration as instructed in the response below. Everything now seems to be working.

This is really getting frustrating. I haven't been able to watch Crunchyroll videos for about a week now. I even updated to 10.2 and it's still not working. If this keeps up, I'm cancelling my subscription. ):<

Same here, I've only been able to watch 1 or 2 episodes of something on here for the past 2 months or so now. There goes $24 out the window . I've tried everything to fix it, but nothing works. I have no problems with flash anywhere but on Crunchyroll.

OK i tried loading up some Shugo Chara and Valerian and Laureline and those crashed too so i guess maybe the whole old video thing still works isn't applicable any more.

I understand that finding bugs and fixing bugs can be difficult but this has been a problem for a long time now and I too am feeling ripped off for not having access to crunchy roll the way i want it when i pay for the service.

I believe we have located 2 ways to fix this problem:

  1. Disable hardware acceleration in Adobe Flash
    • Go to any Adobe Flash element (Example)
    • Right-click on the element
    • Select "Settings"
    • Un-check mark "Enable hardware acceleration"
    • Click "Close"
  2. Upgrade your Graphics Card drivers.
    • Instructions vary by Graphics Card type

Edit: #1 is the quick fix but #2 would be the more permanent fix which I would recommend doing if possible.

Unfortunately my graphics card drivers are current and the problem was occurring. I noticed when I did random attempts I would occasionally run into a few crunchyroll videos that would work. Most would not. Those that didn't work were consistent in there disfunction. There did not appear to be any obvious pattern to the problem. (e.g. How long the video has been available didn't seem to be a factor.) At no time did I have any problem on any other site. (e.g. Hulu, YouTube) Only deactivating flash hardware acceleration seemed to fix the problem.

Maybe there are some Graphics Card settings that need to be changed. Though, in the end, this is a problem that Adobe (or Nvidia) would need to work out since Flash shouldn't be crashing because of this.

For some reason, I frequently experience a crash of Flash when starting one of the newly added Kadokawa titles. To be clear, this has only happened with these recently added titles. I've noted no problem with simulcasts, and had no problem in the past with other library titles.

I can usually find a way to work around it (sometimes opening it in another tab works, other times closing and reopening the browser does the trick, although sometimes only after closing any Crunchyroll tabs first), so it is only an irritation for me.

I thought I should make note of this in the event other users have had similar issues. I suspect there is some subtle difference in the encoding for these episodes that causes Flash to sometimes trip over its own feet.

The quick fix worked for me.

And I should add that I have a new computer with a really nice graphics card with all the drivers up to date.

All I know is that I can watch again!

I have flash 10,1,102,64

It crashes on the start of videos, but if a video starts, it doesn't crash thereafter. But until it starts - it crashes consistently. This only occurs for 1/5th of the videos on crunchyroll. But it's really really annoying! I have to reload my browser like 100 times before flash loads the video proper.

If the crash you are getting is what I call the "sad Lego" on a gray screen, I have found one of the two following methods work:

1. Launch the video in a separate tab
2. Close any CR tabs, close the browser, and relaunch it.

I get these crashes on occasion with the new Kadokawa library titles, but not with the anything else (so far).

FYI, my system has the same version of Flash installed.
