After seeing that can you honestly tell me that there isn't the slightest chance of alien life?

The possibility of life existing anywhere is outrageous, because the conditions for life have to be so perfect and ordered that it is unfeasible to imagine such a possibility. Even if there were life, to say you believe in it with no evidence would be silly.
The odds of life existing on any given planet are so outrageously small that giving it any value other than a 0% chance would require either an astounding overestimate, or an extremely long number. Even with trillions upon trillions of planets, the odds are astoundingly against it.

It would make more sense to believe that time traveling squid-monkeys planted bananas in the solar system, and that those bananas grew into planets.

It's not silly. Astronomy works mostly with theories. So, unless you're calling astronomy itself silly.

Through sheer volume, definitely. Life does not have to have manifested itself into bipeds or quadrapeds, the most common forms associated with life. If I recall correctly, weren't microbes found in the water frozen on Mars? That seems indicative of life to me, and that's not even so far away as to be unrealistic. What is unrealistic, is assuming that of the millions (or billions) of galaxies, that we'd be the only life form, in this one galaxy of ours. I'd even go so far as to say there is another humanoid-type race out there somewhere.

So our planet is the only one in the universe that supports lifeforms?

Yes.
Sentient Life? I really hope so.
But if there are other forms of sentient life, let's hope they don't vaporize us D:

Life exists on other planets, but not as we know it. There are millions upon millions of planets out there, of course there'd be life on them. We humans are just too busy being self-destructive warmongering dickheads to really put the funds forward to massively colonize outer-space.

You know, there may be other humans. Other us, but with a different world and different history. I find that interesting, way more then dropping nukes and wasting money on pointless warfare.

I actually believe this. There is no way there is only one planet with sentient beings. My personal belief is that there are multiple planets with life forms, but each planet is at its own stage of evolution--some are just beginning, while others are hundreds of years more advanced than Earth.

i think its highly likely there is life out there maybe even sentient however, most people seem stuck with the idea that it will require the same things as us to live... well thats really dumb you shouldnt assume that the only possible form of life is that of what we know on our planet.

which brings us to the question how to define life?

(for the possible shock factor i will add that im christian and that the bible is only the story of earth and us and in no way excludes the possibility of other lifeforms )

there has to be some other form of life out there somewhere, now wither or not it's little green men or just simple bacteria we don't even know yet but imo there has to be some other form of life out there.

Well, we never know for sure. If humans were able to live on earth, then there must be life on other planets. It might not take the same form as we do, but I know there are life on other planets.

sure we''ll get there someday........

The probability that there are other life forms living outside of our planet is 100%. It's not even a matter of believing or disbelieving, it's just fact. The real question is if and when our governments will reveal the substantial amount of E.T. communication our planet has and explain to us why exactly most of us were kept in the dark. We turn our heads to everyday business and chores on our home planet and never really think about if we're being watched.

I don't believe that in the whole universe, we are the only living beings. I think there are definitely other living beings out there in some other planets.
