Indeed annoying it even still says the latest "By Season" being Spring 2010.

Really doesn't seem like any work has been done since the boxee box came out.

The defaulting SD is quite annoying, even when browsing the website on the Boxee Box. It is nice that 720p doesn't jump anymore, well maybe a couple of times, however I think that was more a firmware fix, rather than anything done by crunchyroll.

Is there any way to avoid having to log in every single time I start the CR app? It just gets so unbearably tedious after a while. Is there any workaround for this at the moment or should I just be using the browser to hit the site directly?

I am unable to watch premium content from within the Boxee App. I tried watching episode 17 of Beelzebub and 2 minutes into it i get a popup saying i need premium access. I am logged into my account and the App shows the star for my login (Anime only). If I browse to the website thru the Boxee browser i can watch the video normally.

Man the stuttering in the crunchyroll app is a real bummer. I got premium only because crunchyroll was on Boxee. However since the results is so shoddy I am really considering cancelling.
Would be of some comfort to know whether or not cr staff is still looking into this problem or not. I never watch anime by my computer anymore so crunchyroll isn't worth a whole lot to me personally outside of the boxee box.

I really want to see a solution to this.

Yeah its looking like its time to cancel premium if I cant view the new episodes on boxee or get some sort of response.

issues with the app vs the web site

1) The 'recently added' option does not list shows in decending date/time from latest to oldest but merely an alphabetical list of certain shows
2) Genre options on the left still show seasons instead of genre types
3) The season listings options on the left only show 2009 and 2010 not 2011.
4) episode air dates for everything show up as 8/20/2009.

Having the same issue with the "get your free trial" background. Tried it on the new Fairy Tail, Gosick and even an old Naruto. All get the same screen.

Have you tried logging out and then back in? All videos have been working for me.

Well... with exception to the times Boxee decides to get all glitchy; which frankly happens far too often. I had high hopes for Boxee, but even with the recent firmware release on the box I'm beginning to suspect the Boxee team doesn't know wth they're doing. CR neglecting their own app certainly isn't helping any.

UPDATE: hmmm... well that's odd. I was playing around with the app on my computer and I've noticed that anytime I try to use the app's search function to look up an anime, none of the videos will play. Instead it just brings up the shows webpage. Then when I back out of the search and browse my way through the app normally to the same video, it will play as it should. I'm betting it is the same on the Boxee Box, but I'll have to wait and test it out tomorrow.

UPDATE 2: yes, the videos gathered using search in the app on the box do not play.

UPDATE 3: Ok, so I just tried to play the new Gintama episode while logged in to the app on the box and the video stopped two minutes in and asked me to upgrade to an Anime Membership. The premium videos were working for me before, but it must have been before I updated the firmware or cleared my Boxee Browser cookies and cache. Either way here is what is happening, those who have recently updated their Boxee Box will find the login feature in the CR app is now rendered useless. In order to play any of the new premium videos, they will need to first launch the Boxee Browser and login at crunchyroll.com. Then all the videos should work in the app so long as you do not clear your browsers history and don't use the apps search function.

Yes. I can concur on UPDATE 3. I went to boxee box browser and login then I went to all the episodes i place in boxee box's watch later list and I was able to view all the episodes from shows that I couldn't view before.

This is certainly odd.

Personally, I have noticed that the CR application in Boxee is actually playing videos in the highest resolution available for that video. I have also not had any issues with logging into the CR app, it still automatically logs me in as before. However, I have noticed that watching videos via the browser has changed, in that when you go to full screen the video will play as if it is a raw--without any subtitles.

Has anyone else noticed what I just described?
