I'm sick, so I feel a little fuzzy and tired. My throat hurts, my forehead's a little warm, and my nose is stuffy.
Go go Dayquil. |

I'm feeling lethargic and muddled.
I decided that I was actually going to go to class today, then I walked out halfway through. I'm just so unmotivated when it comes to college right now that i'm thinking about dropping out. I've already got a nice paying job that I enjoy with a decent career path laid out, so really what am I doing wasting my time on a degree that I won't use? Graduating college was always one of my goals, but at this point in my life i'm just not sure it's worth the time/money investment anymore. |

If I had a type it'd be you, fortunately I don't have a type so please stop.

It could mean the difference between getting a promotion over another person or not. It's just another accomplishment and accolade that you can put on your resume, not to mention it opens up more opportunities for you, as well as serve as a back-up plan. I'd say think about the fun aspects of college. You could always focus on solely working later on. Plus don't think of it as a waste of time and money. As a matter of fact, quitting now would be wasting the time and money you've already spent. |

As a matter of fact, quitting now would be wasting the time and money you've already spent. As far as I can tell I don't need to actually attend college to enjoy the fun aspects. Nothing says I have to be a college student to attend college parties or sporting events, and those are the only really fun college things i've done the past few years, well that and the classes that focus on my major. If all I had to do was take classes in my major I wouldn't mind college, but i've also got to take meaningless math and science classes that i've no interest in if I want to get my degree. And with 2+ years till I graduate i'm just not feeling it. I don't consider the first few years a waste because I met a lot of great people who i'll be friends with long after college, and I did enjoy it the first few semesters. While having a degree would help if I were to leave my job there aren't many scenarios where I see that happening, and even if I did experience + connections would play a bigger role in finding employment elsewhere than a degree. At least where I live. I've got a pretty well defined career path and i'm almost certainly getting my bosses job, and his wonderful salary/benefits, within the next 3 years when he retires. Even if I don't eventually i'll get the position I want because i'm tight with corporate, and it's not like i'm not living quite comfortably on my current salary. I'll tough at this semester, but i'm going to be doing some serious thinking on this issue over Christmas break. |
