1. Manga volumes is universal mangas does not exist in the world it's like 1 word for one thing universal but here it's more like 2 words.

I have to agree with you.
I also can't stand the people who calls an anime : a cartoon. like I can call Tom& Jerry or another one, an anime. or like Bleach, for example is as the same level as Avatar. anyway..... when something comes from another country and has a different look and level, to call that thing same as the things in your country is so wrong. anyway.... manga and anime are Different things..... and just by the fact that they are coming from Japan. and next is the Quality of these 2, which is waaay better and way mature. but you know... you have to be a real fan to see that, and to know that.

I have to disagree with you. The term "movie" or 'film' covers a wide variety of theatre experiences. No one at the Cannes Film festival feels obliged to call movies from American 'hollywoodies' or whatever. Here in North America 'anime' has come to have this imperfectly defined association with an art style or a national origin. Great! saying 'Anime' is a lot faster than saying 'Imported Japanese Cartoons'. The problem with your complaint as I understand it is that you have put value judgements on those terms.

In your mind: Cartoon = childish western crap, While Anime is a great art form. So of course, you are insulted when someone calls your great artform crap. But that's not what they're saying it's what your thinking based on the value judgement you've put on the words. If you get over yourself a little, then it's really no big deal.

The above notwithstanding I'm sure that there ARE people who are just ignorant (in both meanings of the word) and refuse to acknowledge the subtle differences between different animation genres. I'm sure such philistines can't appreciate a movie without a certain quota of sex and explosions. What do you actually care what such a nimrod thinks of what matters to you anyway?
