I been on the internet since I was 13, I'm 21 now and I never posted my picture, ever. Then my 11 year old cousin posts my picture on facebook without my permission. Stupid children...

Typical nerd forums.

Everyone act like the internet is so dangerous.

Everyone thinks they're anonymous on the net. IP address can easily be tracked unless you have safe guards.

Bastards. I had these supposed telemarketers call and say they could see viruses on my computer. After that they got me to check up something on my system then said, 'You see all those system errors sir? It means you have viruses.'

Got me to check a few other things. I knew it was balony because how are they gonna know the state of my computer before hand.

...Then they said to type a certain address and command on run. I looked up the address on google then I saw it was a remote access command. There was nothing said of that. Not even, 'Sir we're gonna access your computer.'

Luckily for them I have a habit of listening to telemarketers offers. I'm honest with them and tell them call me in a years time then I'll be able to properly see what holiday offers there are when I'm ready and will see what you have.

I'm polite but not stupid. I caught onto them the moment they said there were issues with my computer. I listened and saved what I was going to say until I heard there offer. I cut them short, complained, then told them what I was gonna say from the start: I'll get in contact with my existing security providers and see what they can do about it.

Moral for inexperienced people, don't believe them when you got a call saying there are problems with your computer that need to be addressed. Take them up with your security providers.

Ranting. I just put one photo like on my genuine facebook profile. I never put an onslaught of photos anywhere unless I'm the only one who can see them.

I don't like having my picture taken in the first place. I almost never upload pictures of myself online. When I do It's mostly just profile pictures.
Aah but I do feel kinda violated when my friends post pictures of me online. I can actually only think of one occasion at which I uploaded a pic of me that wasn't a profile picture. The rest is all my friends doing on FB. Can't say I like it. I feel like I only have FB as a shortcut to Tetris anyway.

I always longingly look at the links to forums such as "Who is your anime look alike" because I'd like to upload a pic of myself to motivate my answer, or so that other people can make suggestions. Instead I end up not writing anything at all.

But one of these days I'll do it. If only because I like comparing myself to anime characters.
And cause I'm a complete dork, or so they say.

I heard about this girl in my town had a really bad break up with her boyfriend and he, unfortunately, was a pro at photoshop and managed to photoshop her head on pornographic pictures and post it all over the internet.
With an example like this, I don't think the paranoia should be for people that you don't know or pedophiles or whatever. It can happen to anyone by anyone's hand, and it's just unfortunate.

The only time I post pictures of myself is that I cover half my face with my sleeves or mask. (So people won't steal them and also cuz I hate my jaw structure. =D)
