How do you deal with a confession? Obviously if you like the person you say yes. But if you don't? How do you go about doing that? I've always hate dealing what those, in America it's like the saying, Damn if you Do, Damn if you Don't. Lose lose situation. I always feel like I'm going to make the girl cry btw I'm in Japan. Not sure how people in America deal with that stuff. Sometimes, it ends good and the girl and I are cool friends. Sometimes, they tell me ”まだ終わっていないよね!” And some, I guess are really introverted about their feelings and just say ううん、大丈夫。。。then walks away slowly

I can't confess, it really scares me
But I've been confessed to a few times, I just say ありがとう and sorry
but these days a lot of girls will send a message on mixi or text so its really impersonal. Sometimes when I get a message that says "I like you" I just pretend I don't understand her point and change the topic

Its incredibly awkward, but it just has to be done. If you have no feelings, not your problem...

Cruel to be kind and all that jazz, the sooner they are rejected the sooner they can move on...

hahaha, You're right.... till they don't say it directly, keep avoiding the issue...
Girls and guys speak differently.. a guy for example will say "Hey wanna see a movie?" more direct.
and a girl will say "Isn't it a nice day to go see a movie?" and you'll say "what???? Nice Day or Movie???"
A girl once said to me "Isn't it sad that I don't have anyone to go with and see this movie I want?" She was hot and I should've just said "Wanna go with me like she wanted?" instead of me not realizing what she meant and saying something irrelevant.

Japanese girls actually ask if you want to go the movies. Like straight up... or they make excuses... why they invited you. Surprisingly a lot of anime confession is pretty similar to real confession in Japan. When it's txt and impersonal, I find it scary how they got my # to begin with... but when it's in person it's like I'm forced to just go/agree.

Rejection of another person's attraction to you will always be difficult if you happen to be a caring person. This social dilemma does not disappear as you and/or the other individual become older either. About all you can do is refine your rejection technique to provide a soft landing for the affected person. If you happen to be a pleaser or enabler you will need to modify these defense mechanisms as they will work against you establishing exactly what you are trying to do.

Ooo... I'm super awkward, and I really don't handle confessions well at all. I usually just start rambling a lot, and my mind tries to think of ways to change the subject. And since I'm super awkward, I end up saying stupid things, and doing stupid things, too.

You've reminded me of a great story that happened to my cousin and me... He came from Dubai and lived with me for 6 months as his family were migrating to Canada... We lived up north in a small community so people know one another. This stalker girl (I thought she was a bit kooky for other reasons even though she was kinda nice) had a crush on my cousin... She spoke to someone and found out that he was my cousin, looked my name up in the yearbook, then searched me in the yellow pages and called me up to get his contacts... I knew because she told me straight up that she went through all this trouble... He was okay with it because when he messed up his leg, she helped him with so much that I felt sorry for her but even then kinda kooky, since she could've just asked me at school..
