Cartoons have to appeal to children, and children these days are terrible and don't care for storyline. So there you have it, from a true child.

It pains me just by reading this.

Yes!! In fact cartoons are so bad these days I wonder how kids even stand them. Then again maybe I outgrew them

Definitely. I agree that they just don't make 'em like they used to.
Most the recent cartoons I've watched kinda fail in comparison to the ones that aired when I was young.
That's just my opinion. As long as today's kids are happy with 'em, I guess.

Most definitely have gotten worse, the only cartoons I like these days are Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents. I miss the days of Sailor Moon (I know its anime but it was still something that was only present in my childhood) and I miss Pingu terribly. Pingu was a legend, end of.

What? [adult swim] takes over CN at night until around 4-5:30am in the morning depending on one's location. Is it different there in Texas?

Adult Swim is from like 1100pm until 0200am and then normal stuff, and I think I was wrong, it was the Disney Channel that had it, I haven't worked nights for a few months and my memory sucks right now! It is was in over load! Come on vactaion!

At 6 years old I didn't know it was even anime, but it opened that world to me and it was still mind-blowing. I've rewatched in Japanese anyway.

Eh, I don't like the classics as much as, say Index or Darker than Black, but overall current anime and cartoons are just trash quality compared to what they once were.

Can't say for sure, but I can certainly attest that your spelling has.
