Even though I havent watched GANTZ, I think I heard a couple things about it and if that does have any ecchi in it whatsoever than I guess I can picture what a Mature ecchi is now. Ok thanks

It depends on the rest of the show. Sora No Otoshimono can be over-the-top hilarious at times, so I watch that one. Others have a great story or at least has great action (eg; High School of The Dead). So something being "ecchi" doesn't necessarily make it devoid of any other entertaining content.

CR definitely needs more material though. There's lots of ecchi here pushing the boundary of their own self-imposed PG13 limit. They need to do away with it and get more content here.. but I suppose that I digress.

how is high school of the dead i heard about it and it looks good also how like focused are they on the ecchi

I highly recommend it. The vast majority of it is focused on the zombies and the group trying to survive. You pretty much have to watch it if you like zombie flicks or horror in general.

Well, Ecchi usually go with comedy, and I love to have a good laugh. Honestly though, I rather see DvD version of these ecchi anime, not because I like the nudes (wait...maybe I do?), but because the censor on TV just totally killed everything.

Gantz is most definately mature. I didn't mind it, but it's not the greatest, apparently the manga is a lot better. The anime didn't catch my attention enough for me to go and read it though.

I don't mind the gore or the sex that sometimes appears in anime, however I do think that if they do have mature material it needs to have a sort of finesse. Like the mature content must have a main point to motivate the plot or the story flow. If the mature material is just fan service in order to just motivate the audience with gore or sex then I disregard it as bad taste. Having mature material in a plot should only be necessary if it is used to drive the plot or support character or background.

Even with all the ecchi fanservice in the world, an anime can still suck. I prefer to watch them for their story's more than their ecchi scenes, but im certainly not opposed to a little eye candy once in a while in my anime. To be honest though, there's no such thing as a 'mature' ecchi scene on Crunchyroll. Even those we do have are often the censored versions (Kohime Musou for example, damn that steam!) making me wonder why theres an option to display 'mature content' in video preferences.

Gantz was one of the few animes I found really disturbing. None of their missions seemed to have any real purpose to them besides mindless violence and it felt more like an excuse to draw gruesome scenes than any real plot. It had several very mature ecchi scenes, some bordering on hentai territory. I didn't really mind those scenes compared to the mindless violence driving the series. Perhaps the manga is a lot better (some explanation about what the heck was going on would be a start), but as I do not have a copy of it I can only judge by the anime, which falls by the wayside in my expectations.

At least ecchi has its own color ...
Green Green - It is one of the old ones, it does actually have and ova episode that classifies as hentai...

And at some point the ones drawing sai scrw having pants on and they created:
Strike Witches - by the way there are around 10 other girls dressed like this for about the entire series (now a second season too)

Amaenaide yo! - what if the main character got super powers at watching ecchiness, here is the solution

I can go on... but it it is so hard to find pg-13 rated pictures :D

I don't really notice pantie shots much until they sensor it in a stupid way, on the other hand if you try and watch after panties...

Ecchi is for me playing with the seriousness of that Mature is. Where as Mature is more revealing and more hardcore then what Ecchi.
I would say the crossroad of Mature and Ecchi is Hentai
Or anime with sceens indicating sexual acts, but those are harder to find...

mature isn't ecchi .... ecchi is for teens , mature is for 18 and older usually they have weird complicated stories and lots of gore , the japanese term is seinen manga/anime .

I like them. My room is full of ecchi anime posters. Girls Bravo is my fave ecchi anime. It is also the anime that first got me into anime.

Unfortunately, it's not available for me "due to licensing restrictions" or some crap like that. Thus it seems everyone in the EU has to settle for the censored version of every anime on Crunchyroll.

Trust me, don't even bother with the anime, but we can't deny the ecchi chapter images put in the mangas and the few parts in it which is indeed ecchi as well, but the manga are just way more hardcore and action packed and full of gore than anything out there except for Berserk of course.

That's just the Youth Ordinance Bill. We won't know if it went through until later today/tomorrow.

Suffice it to say it is the same version that is on DVD. That is the reason no one outside of North America can see it; it was licensed by Media Blasters, the DVD distributor here. They also have the dub version up for streaming on Netflix.

If nothing else, I think this demonstrates CR will post uncensored content, if that is what they are provided with. As for most of the series that were originally acquired as simulcasts, the uncensored version is seen as a hook to sell DVDs, so they would be loathe to provide CR with uncensored versions.

While in theory CR could pay more and acquire streaming rights to the uncensored DVD versions, this would be an additional cost with probable diminishing returns, as fewer people would be interested in watching the same series again just to see it uncensored. To make this viable, CR would need to have something like an extra cost "platinum" membership.
