3rd season......

The Famitsu game and media news source reports that the Kyo Kara Maoh! fantasy comedy anime will return for a third season on Japan's NHK-BS2 satellite channel, starting in April of 2008. As in previous seasons, the 39 new episodes will continue adapting Tomo Takabayashi and Temari Matsumoto's light novels about a high school boy who was transported to a kingdom of handsome subjects — a kingdom in which he is crowned the ruler.

Director Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½, True Tears), series script editor Akemi Omode (Getbackers, Princess Princess), and the animators of Studio DEEN will all return in their respective roles from the first two seasons and OVA spinoff. Likewise, Takahiro Sakurai (Yuri), Toshiyuki Morikawa (Conrad), and Mitsuki Saiga (Wolfram) will reprise their characters. Sogo Vision will collaborate on the production. Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. released all of the first season and part of the second in North America before ending its in-house distribution of anime titles.

That will be awesome ! ! ~ Have been collecting all the eps that come out in the states, which are dubbed by the way! I love the dub for wolfram ! Its so perfect. But them Geneon got into some trouble and they stopped releasing them. So now its all subbed from here for a while I suppose ~ but thats good too ^.^ A 3rd season is just what it needs!

honestly I think that the eps 1 & 5 of the OVA are the teasers!

1. It was a shocker for some to see Shion back again! We all know that he is resting now & we did seen a strom growing.

2. In eps 2, 3 & 4 there were all past events before eps 1! It did explain why Shoin cam back, Im not too sure what eps 5 is but I can only guesses that it will a continuation of eps 1.

3. If so then the beginning of season 3 will start from what eps 5 left off! And I hope see more of Yuri Maoh side with control!

*dies* that is so exciting!!! Hopefully, and it seems to be foreshadowed in the OVA's, there will be more shounen ai/yaoi action!!!

I saw the first part and I was like is this a flashback? because julia was in the chair..

All I know is the end of OVA eps. 5 is the start of season 3. Something to do with the king of small .... (sorry can't recall the countries name!)
