hum.. I prefer the term "retarded".
Oh well, maturity kicks in when one leasts expect for both genders.

So yeah, back on topic. I play Melty Blood at a friend's place with my friend's Girlfriend since he doesn't.
She beats me a few rounds at a time until I play the same character. Then I end up taking her down as revenge.

I don't frankly mind whoever plays me as long as you're a good sport on winning or losing. Stroke an ego, and I might just give you a no mercy game

Men maybe be stupid but women sure are bitchy =/ sometimes ~cough~

haha gloating pisses me off O.o

<_< It's all on how you take it.
Gloating can go so far, then it's annoying :3

Hm, me and my friend used to play X-Box 360 Live for G.R.A.W and we'd basically try to get the most headshots for at least 30 min. or 15 min. Then theres the fact that we play DMC, Call of Duty, and Soul Calibur. Oh yes, very good times.

We have egos, and we love to gloat at each other BIG time.

i don't question people about there gender in games that just seems really rude to me
* what if i randomly asked a male character if they were female that would just embarrass them *
the only time i would question that is if that person has a male and female character

-off topic-
maybe this is just me but i like any girl gamers
* my girl friend is a girl gamer and we love to play DDR together =) so much fun*

I've noticed with most MMORPGs most of my friends online thought basically like :Male until proven Female. As in Pics and Voice. I generally keep that rule in the back of my mind, although I don't try to explain that to people if they say they are female >.> Usually they get upset no matter what sex they are. I've seen girls that really were not willing to get on voice chat with the rest of the group (She did like 2-3 times ever.) and I've seen guys pull of being a girl better than I have ever assumed possible. Usually theres no problem with the way my friends and I assume this because its not like we are going to attack you cause you are playing a girl character as a guy, or being a girl, its your preference and we won't try to figure it out; although we may not tell you we don't believe you wholeheartedly.

I've met a few strait guy-playing female characters and I've also met females that like to play guy characters just cause they don't like the hassle of people bothering them *Note I'm old and its been a while since I've seen this actually being a problem for girls. (20 is old for this site it seems >.>)

Strange... I am a female gamer myself and I know lots of girls who are RPGamers. But I suppose I can see why some guys have the reaction since girls are still far from the majority.

Yeah, i agree 20 is old for this kind of site, but then again I'm 26, not sure what that says about me other than i must be a huge depressing nerd with more free time on his hands than he should have.

But to be honest with the topic at hand; i'll never understand the girl/game argument. I have a relatively small group of friends that play video games, i have a lot of friends but only a handful play video games on the regular, anyway, the ones that do play video games are mostly female.

Gamers by the numbers:

I have roughly 20 friends (not the actual number, just making a round number).

About 11 of them play video games. I'm counting the ones that play other games besides just FPS, if i counted them it would be 15.

And out of that 11, 6 of them are female.

Now I've been playing video games for about 20 years, but my roommate (who's female) is 2 years younger than I am has been playing games for 22 years. She's even played more games than i have.

And i always get a big kick when i bring someone new into our Call of Duty 4 or Brawl tournaments and they see most of the people playing are female and they don't suck. I get my ass beat regularly on Cod4 by girls.

So i understand that girls are a minority when it comes to video games, but in my little world they are the majority.

Haha well sheash arn't you just lucky? =P I have only like 1 friend that is female that likes to play games, and not nearly as much as most male gamers I know.
Usually I can get the non-gamers to play games with rockband/guitar hero world tour though =P

I think those are the standard games most non-games play: Rock Band, Guitar hero and Viva Pinata.
