Kiddy Girl-and
500 years in the future, in Star Year 0379, the bright and cheerful Ascoeur and the slightly more serious Q-feuille work for the galactic government known as GTO. Actually, the pair are members of ES, a branch of GTO for secret agents with superpowers…well, more like trainees at ES…or at least they were…. A thrilling SF adventure brought to you with Keiji Gotoh and the staff who gave us KIDDY GRADE at the helm, and joined by the team from the up-and-coming Satelite production studio, who made a name for themselves with the TV Anime Macross Frontier.

Mushi-uta
Dreams become so big and powerful that people cannot suppress them anymore, the “bugs” (supernatural beings that look like bugs) appear out of nowhere and eat their dreams. The bugs deprive teenagers of their dreams, but give them unwanted superhuman power. Now, the sacred night’s battle, bursting with the poignant and passionate emotions of the dreamers, has just begun.

Cosplay Complex
Chako Hasegawa is a bright and mischievous girl who is in her second year of junior high school. With other students, she enjoyed the cosplay club activities. But because she is not good at sewing, she can't make costumes very well. One day, a visiting student from Italy, Jenny Martel appears at the school and asks to be accepted into the cosplay club activities. Goro Bandai, who is the leader of the club, tells her that if she can beat Chako at the cosplay battle, she will be admitted to the group…

They added Kiddy Girl-and before Kiddy Girl season one? ok... for one who's never seen either, would I need to start from the beginning?

Thanks for nothing crunchyroll!
Its really a shame that i payed my premium account fully but am only able to simulcast stream 7 animes in my region, from which 6 suck ass. Not to mention the animes that are not simulcasted. its about 1:50
Please do something about that. I can't accept the difference in pay for value any more and will not refresh my subscription in the future if this does not change fast.

I know its hard to get worldwide rights for the shows but as it is right now, this is really not acceptable!

FUNimation still has full rights for the first series. I don't believe they are currently streaming it, but you should be able to find the DVDs in a bargain bin somewhere since they've been re-released multiple times. The Viridian boxset is currently going on Righstuf for $37.49: http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/browse/item/76581/4/0/0.

[edit]Also available to buy or rent on iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewTVShow?id=250575085
But since it costs a dollar fifty more than the DVDs...[/edit]

They share some continuity and characters, but KG-A has new main characters and is set waaay into the future so you can enjoy it without having seen the first series. The problem is more in the other direction - you may spoil some elements of the first series by watching this first.
