Malaysia is a nice country to visit, with a so many place to visit. If you are into scuba diving activities, Malaysia has many beautiful island like sipadan island, mabul island, labuan island , redang island and so on. For food lovers... there's so many choice of asian food here not only from Malaysia ( chinese, malay , india food) but also thai and indonesian foods.

But there is small opportunity to develop your career in Malaysia. Here, even us the citizen of Malaysia faced with the difficulty to develop our career. Most Chinese doing their own business, Malay babysitted by government and many of them working as government servant, while Indian.. i know little about them.. but most of educated indians got a professional career like doctor and lawyer..

About the crime... is there any country has zero criminal rate??? but it's still under control.

About the education all Malaysian has equal opportunity to further their study... there are no such discrimination occur like some people said... when you do it well, you get it well too...

And about the "Mat- Rempit" thingy... yeah they are the most uncivilized people ever lived in Malaysia. Doing the stupid stunt on the road, robbing weak teenager and women, rapping girl, and dying on their own fault... i think they don't deserve to be in our country..

But I still Love Malaysia... and Proud to be Malaysian...

Lol equal educational opportunies? you must be a malay then. One of my cousins is a straight A student in Malaysia if there are equal opportunies he would have went to a uni there. But wait in the first place the uni there sucks. And about chinese doing their own businness whose fault do u think it is?

Seriously, equal educational opportunities, my foot. My friend is a straight A student but she got rejected so many times and apparently her Malay friend with only 2 credits was 'invited' to go to a good university. I must say, Indians are the most poorly treated race there, even the Chinese is way better off. I hate this country. Indians have no future here in Malaysia.

i have to say i have heard the same. i know of several people from malaysia who have had to leave the country to study because even though they have great grades, mainly A's, they are chinese and cannot get into a university.
then lets not forget the traffic fining system, you can find examples of that on youtube (ill come back and put a link here when ive the time) the chinese do better than they probablly would normally do under these conditions because they are incrediblly hard working. my future father in law is a chinese person from malaysia, he left and has never looked back...
it is a pity because malaysia is a beautiful country and im sure there are great people there.

Hehe. I know that video on Youtube. I watched it too. It was VERY shameful, I must say. The irony is, that was the same year a new prime minister got elected and he was all against bribery. How messed up is that?
It's a shame. Malaysia has the potential to be a really good country but...things are ust too messed up.

Malaysia's a nice place to visit with good affordable food and decent amenities. It's quite safe and friendly place by day at least, from my few days touring experience.

racism is in the constitution of malaysia. i think its too much to say just deal with it. did they tell the black people of south africa to just 'deal' with apartheid?

not related to the above quote:...
singapore seem to be doing very well with laws that protect the rights and equalities of chinese indian and malay peoples...but best not to rub singapore in the faces of the malaysian government, theyve always been sore losers as far as singapore is concerned singapores a touchy subject for them isnt it...

really? nothing? they dont have apartheid anymore...
at a point in time people must have said 'deal with it' with reference to slavery, but we dont have that now in civilised countries because people decided NOT to deal with it and say something about it.

saying deal with it to malaysians is the reason its still carrying on. besides that its incrediblly insulting to people who are the victims of discrimination there ie the chinese and indians. and why should they HAVE to leave their own country where they were born? isnt that the way a bad boyfriend gets rid of his girlfriend? treat her bad enough and she'll dump him so he doesnt have to bother? i dont think treating a whole section of society badly and making them leavebecause of it is any better

maybe the world needs to put a little bit of pressure on the malaysian government to stop them from discriminating. even though england is named after english people, we still allow equal oppertunities for every race for admitance into universities etc. so some peoples argument of malysia was named after the malays so of course they should be treated better just doesnt cut it with me.

in my opinion 'dealing with it' and saying things will never change is WHAT makes things never change.

i moved away and never looked back. But i think that racism is not right whereever you are, and although its true there's no such thing as perfect country, under Malaysia's current circumstances, thomg's should be much different. For the better.
