Rskolin,

Thanks for the update... I was hoping someone would have something new to add, but I guess we are just waiting on CR. I tried sending them an email, but no response. I try loading an episode almost daily and occasionally will get one, but not with any regularity. I might keep the subscription for a month, but after that I think I'll cancel until they fix this problem!

I'll be sure to checkout "High Kick", thanks for the tip!

I just joined the site here, but am in agreement. I love the site and the content, and iOS streaming seems to work pretty well. However the roku streaming has gotten worse and worse over time and now it's difficult to get anything to start up. Once started it seems to work reasonably well though.

If there was some information on what the situation is or if it's expected to be fixed that would be great.

Can't get anything to play on the Roku, though other devices are fine and all other channels (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, etc) are fine on Roku. I tried rebooting everything (router, modem, and Roku). I tried unregistering and re-registering the device. I'm at a loss. My ping is 12ms, download speed is 18.1, upload is 6.2. Pingtest ranks my connection an A.

I'm having the same issue. Everything was working fine then zip. Just for kicks I unlinked my account with Roku and was able to play the videos (of course there were the ads and lesser picture quality) but at least it worked. Really frustrating. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Just hooked up the Roku box today and pretty happy about it, but a few shows aren't working. It starts to load them, hangs, and then goes back to the menu for the episode. So far it's happened with Hanasaku Iroha, Hanamaru Kindergarten, and Durarara!. Other shows are working alright.

Hi --
I can't get dramas to load on my Roku box. Everything else Netflixs, etc. seems to work fine. Thanks for you help.

Last night was the first time in months that I tried starting a drama around midnight Eastern (in the middle of prime time on the West Coast), and it started right up. Don't know if its a fluke, or if the promised switch over off of the CDN has actually happened.

Since lots of people were reporting that the ad-streaming videos weren't loading for them, you seem to be stuck in the middle, with 480p videos taking too long to start and timing out, but the ads keeping the channel live while the 360p video loads.

Netflix drops down in video quality if there are too many buffering delays ~ heck, Crunchyroll wouldn't even have to automate it. Just a "play in SD" button below the regular play button, and people would likely try it if the DVD resolution streams were not loading.

That would be great if the CDN updates/switches are occuring. I think Crunchyroll has great content, and I just want to be able to access it! Besides, I don't want to make the crunchyroll channel feel bad when it watches Netflix and the other channels having all the fun.

Just keep trying. It usually takes me 2 or 3 tries before the show starts. It once took me 8 tries; but they always seem to load eventually.

I'm still having problems. Anime will *sometimes* work, but dramas never load regardless of how many times I retry.

Any updates from the techs?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't handle watching the commercials for the Crunchyroll free trial period or the Feed the Pig more than two or three times, while I wait for the drama that never comes. I'm usually done at that point and use my iPad.

I've had this problem of shows from here not playing on my Roiku since the day I joined Crunchyroll. There is no blaming my internet connection since I have the problem on a 16Mb (16 megabit = 2 megabyte and has been tested) connection at my one place, same as my slower connection at my other.

It seems that some can get past this by repeatedly trying to play the show. That has yet to work for me even once.

I've also tried some suggested router settings changes I read some place. Those had no better results than before.

Everything on my end of things has been checked and re-checked. I own and run a small computer repair shop for a living, so I'm fairly certain that there are no issues left for me to over on my equipment and connections - of course this wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong either

This is becoming enough of an issue that I am starting to doubt whether or not it's worth continuing my subscription to crunchyroll.com.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon, but in the meantime it is MAJORLY annoying.

BTW I have two Roku Boxes (Both Roku HD), One on Ethernet Wired, and the other on WiFi. Both have been tested in both locations with different routers and router settings. Both work fantastic on everything at bothe locations EXCEPT watching Crunchyroll video. They are great for replacing an HTPC (home theater PC) for me on everything else.

Count me among those who bought a Roku to watch Crunchyroll, but can't actually get the Korean dramas to play on it. Would be nice to get that fixed, wot?

I can't even get the Crunchyroll channel to load on my Roku. It worked fine last night, but now every time I try to select the Crunchyroll channel from the Roku home screen a little box pops up that says "loading" for a few seconds, and then it bumps me back to the Roku home screen again.

I've tried powering off the Roku a few times, didn't help. All the other channels work perfectly. Haven't tried a factory reset, because I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of relinking all of my other accounts.

Edit: Gave in and tried the factory reset. No dice. Everything works except Crunchyroll.

Edit 2: It started working again, no explanation.
