First, LOVE that CR is on Roku and overall I've found the quality great. (And thank you for housing Natsume! So good.)

I just wanted to second/third the comment about the missing Asura Crying. It looked interested so was disappointed that it wasn't available. If you find new source videos, that would be great.

Also, will No.6 be added to Roku soon? It seems to have a bigger delay than the other new shows announced. (Maybe I'm just impatient though....)

Thanks for your hard work!

Some episodes in a number of series are showing up to be only half the episode, like a couple of the tail end episodes of Skip Beat and I think the second or third episode of My Ordinary Life for example. The entire episodes are available online so I was wondering if it was just the coding that is still the ongoing issue?

I would like to say since I got premium and started using the roku, I've noticed an improvement. Before I could barely get episodes to load, especially at night. There are some issues here and there, but its gotten better.

i have seen a few random times that roku stops wanting to load stuff in the crunchyroll app but since they switched 90% of the problems are now gone so it is alot better now.
the other 10 percent is encoding and problems with cut off subs and resolution problems. but that is something crunchyroll needs to fix when people find the problems. cant be fixed unless people report the episodes they are having problems with.

Cut off subs would be because some TVs have Overscan. If you can disable overscan (not all TVs specifically call it overscan or provide the option to disable), I would highly recommend doing so.

Here are the main issues right now:
- Some encodes are cut short
- Some are missing subtitles
- Some are just flat out missing entirely

But we're working on these 3 on a case by case basis. The cut off subtitles can be circumvented on our side but this requires us to manually edit a lot of our subtitles. I started doing this but I haven't had time lately to proceed with it. Hopefully I'll have time for this sooner than later.

720P video playback has been put on hold so I can not say when it will be available.

I'll probably have this fixed today unless some weird problem comes up.

Edit: Didn't fix it yesterday. I'm pretty sure I figured out the problem just now so I edited the subtitles and am re-encoding again.

"kiddy girl and" series is the only one so far that has a resolution problem bottom of video and right side is cut off and i dont have an option on tv for over scan. i really dont mind a little black space around videos i just dont really like it being cut off

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but some of the recent Roku encodes have been at a lower quality. Take episodes 18 & 19 of Steins;Gate and episode 20 of My Ordinary LIfe. When the Roku streams Crunchyroll it usually shows 2 bullets out of 4 for the quality rating. These episodes only showed one bullet. But, I'm not complaining... I'd like to see more of it.

Sure, the picture was a little fuzzier and the audio was not as good but here's the thing, CRs uber slow Limelight servers streamed the lower quality episodes with no probs. Which is unusual since CR never keeps up unless I let the Roku buffer max out before playing an episode, which has me pausing and waiting an extra 10 minutes before pressing "play" again. So my question is will there be an option on the website here to also allow you to lower the video quality for your Roku streams or maybe implement an adaptive video control that will switch the quality to match your connection, like most other channels have?

Just wondering since the Netflix website lets you lower your video quality for all streams, even Roku, if you want to save on bandwidth... those HD streams can really eat up your usage but damn they look awesome. Anyway. since I don't watch anime with my face planted against the screen, I would be fine with a lower quality if it meant I didn't have to see that freaking "loading, please wait" notice 2 minutes into an episode.

Asura Cryin' Episode 10 - Bound by the Chains of Time isn't wide screen like all the other episodes. The characters look really skinny too.

I watch Crunchyroll on roku at what looks like 720p without any problems. Show after show. It does indicate 2/4 dots. I figured that was a bug since they quality looks so good.

Even though the TV says it's 720p when playing CR, I don't think it is.

Besides, CR is the only Roku channel that gives me any problems. All others work just fine, even when streaming in HD.
