CR on ROKU is hanging on me too for about the last 2 weeks. Very frustrating. Utterly unwatchable.

CrunchyRoll - PLEASE sort this out. It's worked fine for the last year or more, so I'm thinking the problem is on your end. All my other ROKU apps stream just fine.

FYI, I'm not a die-hard Naruto fan, but Netflix has Naruto and for some (wonderful) reason it's in Japanese. If you're on ROKU and looking for something to tide you over until Crunchy gets their act sorted out, it's something to consider.l

I have also been having trouble with buffering halts on my Roku box lately. Sometimes it works fine, and other times it stops every few minutes. I can watch on my PC without problems, so it seems like it must be the servers for the Roku streams.

Still having major problem with streaming of crunchyroll and it is random buffering over and over every few mins and sometimes seconds. Pls fix this problem streamed fine over a year not hardly ever had problem now I want to poke my eyes out rather than watch it load over and over.

We're currently aware of the playback issues that Roku users are encountering.

Evenings and weekends are our peak times for viewers who use Roku devices.

We're working to resolve this issue and are hoping to have this taken care of within two weeks.

I know you probably don't want to hear one more person on this, but boy was I glad to see other people having the same problem. I was wondering if the terrible rebuffering/stuttering video problem was just me. I've noticed that it suddenly got really bad over the past couple weeks, and it now normally takes me twice the time to watch something like the new Natsume, Brave 10, and Prince ot Tennis episodes. Last night, it stopped and rebuffered about 5-6 times during the episode. (Watched before 8pm Pacific time.) The rebuffering was long enough each time that I started checking my email/Facebook just to kill time while waiting for the story to continue.

I hope this can be fixed soon. It's almost unwatchable right now with the amount of stops, and the primary reason why I went premium was because of the ease of watching CR on the Roku.

To the CR team working on this issue--Thank you! Your time on this is very appreciated!

Yes thank you for fixing the roku buffing problem! I await a speedy resolution. I just bought a roku so I could watch crunchyroll in HD.

Just a bump.... we are on our third week of shows with missing subs!

This is on the Vizio tvs btw... not sure if it effects roku.

I concur and would also enjoy premium content on VIA. We tried out the free trial and were very happy with the service... but the deal breaker was not being able to access it on VIA. I made sure to note this when we canceled. My mother is an avid anime watcher, and my grandmother really enjoys Naruto and Gintama. We would be more than happy to subscribe to the anime service if it meant they could access the premium content from the comfort of their TVs. Make it happen Crunchyroll! =)

However, I'm very, very disappointed at the lack of subs on the new episodes for the past few weeks. T_T Here's hoping it gets fixed ASAP.

Howdy!

We're aware of the issues that are happening with VIA sets right now & working to resolve the problems.
We're also looking into reversing the order of episodes so that way on shows like Naruto & Bleach you won't have to scroll to page 17 (or so) for the newest episodes.

I don't have a solid date on when this will be resolved, but we are working to fix it.

I'm glad to hear that you are working on the problem. I hope you can get it fixed soon. My Roku box was completely unwatchable tonight; six buffering pauses before the end of the opening credits.

DarchAengel: Crunchyroll is almost all there as a Roku channel. Certain series aren't viewable by genre (I think that's a problem on the main site as well), but the Search feature works great. No trouble with Premium access, so you can watch anything that's been uploaded.


Edit: Music is not viewable on Roku or iPad. Work in progress or some kind of legal stuff?
