I actually ran into a similar issue a few years ago with streaming .AVI's with hard coded subs a few years ago. Once I switched to .mkv's with soft subs and adjusted the height, I forgot about the problem. Never realized it was my TV causing it.

I wonder how practical it would be for CR to allow user setting of the height of the soft subs on their media (i.e., setting a single setting that would apply across the board for that user).

guess there's no way to fix Slam Dunk since that's the one I really want to watch with the subs cut off the bottom.

Thanks much for the follow up and screenshots!
If you can give me a list of episodes it happens on I'll make sure we get started on updating them.

Unfortunately it looks like those are hard-subs.
What kind of TV do you have?

For Whatever reason I have to keep "Linking" the account each time I load up the program in Roku. I'm confused why I have to "Link Account" every time I load up Crunchy Roll to watch something. Is this the norm for the app now?

old school 4:3 tube tv. no adjustments can be made on the back to change the size of the picture like that one person said he had. i have another tv, but it's also 4:3 crt tv and the subs cut off the bottom the same way. strangely, hulu plus doesn't have this problem for me, but they used to and were able to fix it somehow. at least, that's what i read online somewhere.

Got it.
I'll send feedback along to the development team to see if it is something they can address in a future update to the Roku Channel.

thanks. just glad to have a customer service rep finally acknowledge this problem even though it may never get resolved.

I was having the same problem and had to both uninstall the app and remove it from my Devices list on Crunchyroll, then re-install the app and activate it again to resolve the problem.

Uninstalling and re-installing the app alone didn't resolve the problem for me. You could try only removing it from the Devices list and then reactivate it again, as I didn't try that alone.

Apologies for all the relinking!
Apparently the code pushed to fix the issues that lorreen and other users were encountering caused this.
(Much like when we did the channel redesign.)

Subtitles are missing from Hayate no Gotoku Season 2 Episode 4 on Roku. This episode does have subtitles when played on my computer.

I just checked this episode ("You're Like Me"), and it had no subtitles on my Roku XD|S.

I do not know if it might be related, but I also found when I went to fast forward through the OP that thumbnails were presented for only about the first minute, and I could not advance past that.

No such problems with the next two episodes (5 & 6) that I checked.
