Sorry for being unclear. When I downloaded the Chrunchyroll channel onto my roku, it gave me a choice to link my account. If I do not link my account Chrunchyroll works fine, if I link my account Chrunchyroll channel refuses to work at all, it won't even open it just says the service is unavailable. Once I unlink my account from the Roku channel, Chrunchyroll works again. This problem hasn't been always been a problem since I purchased my Roku, I used to be able to link my account and it would work properly, only for this last month or so has it been doing this to me. I'm asking to is there something wrong with my account? Do I need a membership? I apologize if this is unclear as well.

Same problem as previous post.
When using roku 2, I attempt to launch the crunchyroll channel and I get "we were unable to connect to th service. Please try again In a few Minutes." other channels are connected fine so it's not a net issue on my end. Any suggestions? |

Netflix is also down... as far as Roku channels go. |

I talked to Roku support, they said it was a problem on the channel providers end, well at least for me and t3hd3r3k I would think.

They may want to put the pedal to the metal, as Funimation just announced they will be coming out with a Roku app in late July or early August, and they specifically noted, "HD video included", and the same for the Android/iPad and Samsung apps they announced for the same time frame. |

They probably have their hands tied, especially with them preparing to release a PS3 app. How is the video quality with the Roku? Is it upconverted sharp, but not HD... or is it just fuzzy SD? I am contemplating returning the AppleTV, and getting a Roku. |

I am viewing it on only a 720p display, however, so I cannot speak for the results on a 1080p display. I did realize I had my TV set to "aspect" (i.e., the full 1366 x 768 resolution of the panel), and setting it to the 1:1 mode I use for my DVD player made the picture noticeably sharper. (No surprise, since this was effectively causing it to double-upscale the CR 480p content). |

I'm viewing on a 1080p display and I think the quality is pretty good. It isn't HD but it is better than Hulu's 480p anime and I have seen no artifacting what-so-ever. If you do decide to go the Roku route, Sam's club sells it in a bundle with the Roku xs (1080p, wireless or wired, angry birds), HDMI cable that is probably 6 feet, and 2 months of free Hulu plus for $89. Much better than the normal $99 for just the Roku xs
*edit- As a new Roku user I have been searching to find this answer but cannot so I figured I'd ask here (sorry if it is in an obvious place that I missed) but what is the usual delay between episode posting on CR and then availability on Roku, like simulcasts for instance? |

Delete the app from the Roku 3. Verify via the web browser that the Roku no longer shows as a device 4. Add the CR app to the Roku again 5. Try linking your account once more |

I'm just going to say that it royally sucks that you have to have a prem. membership to link your acct on crunchy to your roku.. It royally ticked me off
... if I had the money to be a prem memb, don't you think I'd just go and buy my anime instead of having to watch it here? I am one very unhappy person. but anyway... there is my feedback. other than that I love crunchy and I've been here for years and I'm always telling people to join ... just wish I could link my acct to my roku .. but oh well.. ^_^ |
