I was using the buttons (not swiping). But, Crunchyroll released an Android app update today that seems to have solved that problem. They also fixed every single one of the problems I reported with my Roku. Kudos to the support team at Crunchyroll!

There is only one bug that I can see at this time--not sure whether it is new or not, but it is new to me.

So, this is the sequence of events to trigger this problem on my Nexus 7:

Watch a video on Crunchyroll app.
While video is still playing, sleep the tablet by pressing Power button. Screen goes dark, audio stops, as it should.
Later, press power to wake up tablet's lock screen.
Unlock screen.
On the Nexus 7, the screen orientation rotates automatically from portrait to landscape mode.
Video is frozen into a still screenshot, but this still image is scaled down and stretched in a weird way, possibly the result of the screen orientation rotation.
App is unresponsive until I switch away to a different app then switch back.

That's good that it is working for you again. How is the Nexus 7? I still have an original iPad but was thinking about picking up a Nexus 7 once I get a student loan.

As for your new problem, it may be best to post it in the Android thread or sumbit it via the Contact Us form. Although I do not think CR can do anything about the app resuming from sleep mode properly.

I can't even get Netflix to resume properly. I have to force close it if I accidentally turn off my phone's screen before quitting the app.

Resuming from sleep mode varies greatly depending on what rom you are running and how each device acts during sleep mode.

I freakin love my Nexus 7, especially compared with the seemingly much heavier iPad(s), as well as my Galaxy Tab 10.1.

It's the portability plus general snappiness that makes the difference. I can fit it in a cargo pants or jacket pocket, and so it gets used a whole lot more than the larger tablets that just sit on the sofa. Plus, ICS and Jelly Bean are finally elegant and consistent enough to compete with iOS in terms of user experience. I'll be selling off my larger tablets ASAP.

This new bug isn't a show stopper, because it's relatively easy to switch to another app and switch back (as opposed to force quitting). I'm not super concerned about it, and it's not stopping me from getting back to watching Crunchyroll animes.

People having issues with the shows giving the 'No Content Available'

Can I.... have a volunteer so I can try testing as one of you?

I'm completely unable to reproduce this issue so I'm wondering if it is just location or if it's account based.

I'm not having near the problems I was having before. I went through about 10 of the simulcasts and only once did it say "unable to connect to video service", but as soon as I tried again it worked fine. There are missing titles again though. It's showing 32 simulcasts now where there were 34 last night. I think So I can't play H and Naikamo are the two missing.

*Now there are only 30 showing up under simulcasts.

On the VIZIO VIA app eps 5 of Tari Tari has no English subtitles working for me
EDITED to correct Anime name they still had nosubtitles for episode 5 when i checked earlier today

Hello, just checked in with my Roku today and have found this issue on my Roku device as well.

So I guess I volunteer, what do you need from me?

Currently, the "There is currently no content available" error is only affecting these shows for me:
-Nakaimo
-Natsuyuki Rendezvous
-So I can't play H!


And for the record, these shows still show up thru the PS3 channel. (though the channel itself is another matter altogether...)

I am also having the "No Content Available" problem. I mostly watch anime from my Roku since I can watch it on my TV so its kind of a bother). It started a week or so for me starting with So I Can't Play H! and Nakimo. It has only effected shows that are in simulcasts. So far for me it only affected shows that started Summer 2012.

Here is a list of Anime that has the problem:
- So I Can't Play H! (It started to work for me 2 days ago but it had the problem for a week or so)
- Nakimo-My Sister is Among Them (Never worked since this problem happened. The last episode I watched was Episode 4 on August 3 on my Roku.)
- Tari Tari (One day it showed "No Content Available" for a few hours maybe 2 or 3. It returned back to normal).
- Humanity Has Declined (Didn't work on Sunday (day it came out) but started to work on Tuesday.)
- Campione! (It started to work for me a few days ago)
- Natsuyuki Rendezvous (It started to show "No Content Available" for me today (Thurs). I wanted to the new episode. I'm guessing that it says "No Content Avavable" when a new episode comes out)
- Moyashimon Returns

When I look at the "Browse Anime" section, and click on a title (ie. Moyashimon), it says it's loading, but it does nothing.

But if the anime is listed in the "Anime" section (before you click "Browse Anime"), it says "No Content Avaliable" for the series (For me Natsuyuki Rendezvous).

Also, if the anime is on your Queue, it says "No Content Avaliable.



BTW: I wish the Roku had HD! Is there a petition I can sign or something? The Roku App has been out for a long time so it should have HD already. I know they talked about it in a convention or something but I would enjoy watching it in HD. I can't wait til next year. I only bought a Roku box for Crunchyroll to be honest, so it would be a waste of money if there is no actual HD.

Yeah, Natsuyuki Rendezvous started that "No Content" error today for me also. The search function has become my new queue since that's the only way I can watch any new episodes on the Roku recently.

Once I get the error usually stuck that way for a least a day often longer.

Can always access via Windows PC and iPad.

Please show some love for our Rokus.

This morning La storia Delia Arcana Famiglia is working while the other two still report the error.

I also have a second Roku and it gives the same error on the same shows.
