When will Crunchyroll start to stream HD content on the Roku. Its been a long time since the Crunchyroll app has been on the Roku, so HD would be wonderful! (In my opinion, please have HD come out on Roku before the PS3. It would feel like a waste of money if HD comes first on the PS3)

Given what they had indicated not long ago they were shooting for a "universal encode" they could use across a number of platforms. That could mean a near simultaneous deployment (delayed only by how quickly they could update the app and get it in out, which would likely give the Roku a leg up over the PS3). While as a Roku owner I would certainly like to see it first, from a business perspective there are a lot more PS3's out there than Roku boxes. Roku sales were at about 2.5 million sold at the end of 2011, per this post. By contrast, as long ago as November 11, 2010, U.S. sales of the PS3 stood at 13.5 million (not including "about 1.5 million" in Canada as of about a month earlier).

The episode is a bit over 63 minutes long (and plays fine on the website), but won't play (or fast forward) beyond about 52 minutes on Roku. When playing it stops abruptly and bounces back to the episode menu, showing "resume playing (52:38)" but when I click to resume, it just bounces back to the episode menu. (If you pause at an earlier point while watching, you can see the progress bar does show the amount of time that should be remaining for a 63 minute episode.)

When playing CrunchyRoll videos via the VIA "web videos" application, we are able to play, like, 2 consecutive videos of a series before horrendous stuttering begins. Switching to a non-CrunchyRoll series like, say, "Revision 3" allows playing, again, a couple episodes before the stuttering sets in. Please note that this stuttering problem - essentially making anything under "Web Videos" like Crunchyroll unusable - continues to this date. Just a Heads Up - I'll be checking out Flingo's forums right after posting this to see if they have mentioned it.
