I'm not sure if this is an issue with Crunchyroll, Roky or my ISP, but I've noticed that Chrunchyroll has been very, very slow on my Roku these past few evenings, stopping to buffer quite frequently, even on the lowest quality setting.

Running an Internet speed test gives me around 5Mb/s, which, whilst this is lower than it should be, is this enough to watch Crunchyroll on Roku without experiencing the buffering I am?

My normal internet speed is 5Mbps, and I don't experience any problems with viewing CR content on the Roku (or HD content from other sources).

If your speed is lower than it should be, however, you might have a problem that is also causing packet loss.

It does only seem to be in the evenings though, so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with peak usage times etc. It doesn't always happen though, it just seems to have been particularly bad these last few days. Plays fine during the day though.

Are you on a cable connection or DSL?

I know cable is subject to dips in performance due to bandwidth to a neighborhood being shared, but that is rare with DSL since each subscriber has a dedicated line to the DSLAM or telephone exchange.

I wonder if the streaming problems Mahzes is having has to do with the "hiccups" with Akamai that Bjaker talked about in the Video Playback Problems thread. Seems there is a problem with one of the content servers.

I've noticed the past few days my streaming performance when streaming 720P video has degraded. Some videos play back fine, but then I go load another episode and I get the stuttering video issue and pauses. I keep refreshing the page until the video starts to play normally again. (Makes me think it switches to a different server when the video starts to play back fine)

I've only had this problems for a few days now, and it seems to be improving lately though. (Do not have to refresh as often)

There's a 3rd party app through Flingo.
Not sure if there is a marketplace on your device, but you should be able to get it there.

This problem continues - after, say, two episodes on CrunchyRoll under the WebVideos app on the Vizio M470SL TV, the rest have horrendous stuttering - this appears to be a problem with the WebVideos app. Another Vizio TV (older) does not exhibit this problem.

Have you reported this issue on the Flingo forums?

Yes, however it is not clear that they are responding to the post(s); I reposted yesterday there just as I did here since this is a multi-month-long problem (my wife is an AMAZING Crunchyroll streaming-direct-to-our-TVs fan - it's about the only TV she watches. She has no problem with the WebVideos app on our original older Vizio TV, however this newer one is useless after a couple episodes of ANY of the channels under the WebVideos app. My posts HERE are to note to you guys that some of us out here cannot view Crunchyroll but apparently through no fault of Crunchyroll).

I can't watch any episodes anymore on Roku. I used to watch a few series through roku and now any series I try with it (anime or drama) says that there are currently no content available for this series... what happened? I tried to unlink and unlink with no success.

BTW - this really is a royal pain in the butt. Able to watch an episode or two, then such horrendous stuttering that any further watching is essentially disallowed. Since this is NOT happening on a different Vizio model I would assume that something in the WebVideos app is not playing well with the apparently-different software of the newer Vizio. However, since OTHER video players, such as non-WebVideos YouTube or Amazon apps, appear to consistently work fine, the finger begins to point NOT at Vizio but at the WebVideos app itself.

In any case, no joy to this point in time - as I'm typing this my visiting bro-in-law in the other room is repeatedly running into this problem while watching CrunchRoll under WebVideos.
