I'm having the same issues as carlo1843 -- oddly enough, we're in the same city, so I'm unsure if this is an ISP (assuming we use the same one, not many here) or app issue, though all other apps/streaming services via my Roku work fine.

It's been about 3 weeks to a month now with CR on my Roku constantly loading during eps. I thought this was a router issue, but CR works fine on my computer and via my PS3. Some days are better than others with a few days having episodes taking double the time to watch because it keeps stopping to load. My quality is also at 1 of 4.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Just wondering whats the status on a WDTV Live app?
I have 2 in my house and I love em (exept when an update breaks everything) but im stuck draggin my laptop around when I want some crunchyroll outside my living room.
They have an app for everything on them I was surprised there was no crunchyroll app.

Crunchyroll is available through Flingo on WD Boxes.
It does not support logging in though.

I'll pass along your request for a CR supported app for them to the Dev team.

Oddly enough, I too live in the same area as carlo1843 and OrgAsg. Could this be an issue with this area?

Greetings! I'm having the same issue as carlo1843 and OrgAsg, but I don't live in the same area (still in the Southeast though; hailing from Alabama).

As they have said, other video streaming apps still work fine on the Roku box, but the Crunchyroll channel takes a while to load an episode and then interrupts with further loading during the episode. The app still works great on other platforms, but I would like to be able to use the Roku box for all my video services.

I've never had an issue with the service before, so I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post this or if I should have contacted customer support. Please let me know if I need to submit a proper report to customer support. Thanks for your time and hard work!

First post here. I just started my free 2-week premium trial yesterday and I really enjoyed HD playback on my Roku 2XS and finished Magi. Today however when I went on to watch Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet the quality took a sudden nose dive to sub 240p! It's awful quality and it seems to be the same across the rest of the videos on my queue. All my other channels like netflix are working as they should and I have no connection issues, even ran a speedtest and I'm getting around 30-40Mbps which is normal. I bumped the image quality on the Roku down to 720p and still having the same issue. It's confusing me, everything was fine up to yesterday.

The videos buffers perfectly fine by the way. No loading issues, just a serious unexplained drop in image quality. I tried searching for answers but I hadn't really found any help unfortunately.

I can also confirm that it's only on the roku, playback quality on my laptop is perfectly fine

We were trying something out on the Roku but it looks like it isn't working out how we thought!

We will be rolling back that change but it may take a few hours.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Oh ok thanks for the reply! I was getting seriously worried something was wrong with my internet connection or something (wouldn't be the first time I had to fix something because of my network, my router's temperamental). I'll check it again later on tonight to see if the issue's fixed.

FWIW, on my Roku 2 XS the video quality has been really bad for the for first 15 seconds or so this evening but after that it steps up to a very nice quality. Judging by my router stats it appears it's a 2mbit stream. I suppose if the change completely breaks things for some people it'll have to be rolled back but for me it looked good enough that I thought the Roku was finally getting HD playback.

I thought the initial poor quality was just the Roku's adaptive bitrate algorithms staring out at the minimum available rate in the same way Netflix streams start out pretty fuzzy.

Bjaker: I take it this explains why every video I play instantly aborts?

I figured it was the Roku 5 software update, but then saw my non-upgraded Roku was doing it too.

Why has the video quality gone subzero on the Roku box crunchy roll channel? I don't have the QoS buttons anymore either ... the tiling is terrible. I have removed the channel and re-installed it but it made no difference. I have pulled the power, rebooted my router and modem and still no improvement. I think for the problems encountered perhaps Crunchyroll could give a partial refund to premium members with these problems. location - Montgomery, AL.

Ya I'm having issues as well. Its started happening since last Saturday though I can't watch for more than a few minutes before I see a loading bar. It seems fine on my cellphone using the same network. The roku however is unwatchable everything else works amazon vudu netflix crackle the only issue is cunchyroll.
