Have any of you had or are dealing with pests? It could be a mouse, rat, spiders, roaches, ants, whatever it is that is running around in your house or apartment, garage, etc.

For almost 2 months, I've been dealing with this mouse in my apartment. First I was given glue traps...didn't work. Then I used snap traps...didn't work at first.

I tried bread, jelly, almounds, whatever I ate for dinner, and peanut butter. But lately I've noticed it's been going for that peanut butter but could never figure out why the trap doesn't snap.

It was discovered that I simply needed to push a small amount of it inside the curled area of the snap trap (I use victor traps) so it can really work it's way to it. Sure enough...it worked. I even put peanut butter in the middle of the glue traps, which when I came back home I saw it's been trying to get in it.

Knowing it was coming from the back area where the water pump was, I put a snap trap in that area and I saw the dead SOB's head smashed into the trap trying to get that peanut butter.

As we speak I'm cleaning up my apartment, washing the stove and counter with a little bleach and soap, mopping the floor really good too. I'm just glad I finally killed that damn thing.

I went out and bought some different traps for this thing too, only to come back home and find that the snap traps DID work.

I totally do not like having pests in my place. It makes my place look dirty and "ghetto", and it's not healthy ether. I'll do whatever it takes to rid them from my place...with force.

I had rats/mice in my home once. My parents bought glue traps and it worked, they used "small shrimp" as bait and boom, 2 giant rats stuck onto the same trap. I fear mice so I was scared shitless to even go near it. But, yea, they're a nuisance. Oh, for the smaller ones (mice), my parents would throw a show at them, and take a paper towel and then crush it to death. Once a rat came near me, and I jumped onto my bed. I hate mice with a passion, scares me to even see one.

On the other hand, roaches, ants, bugs for the matter, are usually easy to get rid of. Mice are usually the most annoying to get rid off, and peanut butter works the best.

My cats are freaking awesome, one is called Zack and one is called Ninja and they work together to kill mice. Zack likes to regurgitate mice on the living room carpet though -__- gross! At lest he kills them though. Get a cat!

I accidentally killed a pretty dove with a snap trap outside though it tried to peck the food and got caught in it.

I cannot have pets in the apartment complex I live in. When I had cats living with my father, they always caught mice and rats.

Once there was a nest of mouse babies in my brothers hockey bag in our basement, he took it outside and they all came running out of it and then he killed them all with a shovel, the poor babies...Anyways usually we just use mouse poison in the basement and snap traps with peanut butter in them and mouse poison in the attic. For bugs usually just some sort of spray.

Though I don't agree with the term "ghetto," I remember having a mouse in my house and other types of horrible insects. We had water bugs the size of your big toe and every time our cat would kill them.

Well back in 08 we used to get crickets in our basement. theyve died down though. (put a bucket over them for a while. then remove.)
we get houseflies once or twice in the summer.
and maybe a spider or two in dusty areas.
we swat spiders and flies

Dude, those snap traps would splatter it all over your floors and walls, just keep using those glue traps and put some cheese on there to lure em in.

I don't think killing the pest in my house is legal.

I remember once a rat came into my house... and it left baby mice. We had to get rid of all of them @_@
Thankfully, right now my house only has wall lizards and some spiders but that doesn't bother me.

OK! The current pests that I have now are people's cats roaming around on my property. they shit in my grass and my dog finds the shit and rolls around in it (stupid dog, I know). then i have to give the dog a bath after he goes in the yard
another problem with the cats is that they are constantly CONSTANTLY trying to kill my rabbits. its a shame I can't let my own animals have fun in MY YARD because other people's animals keep interfering. I've even considered killing the cats but apparently that's illegal. i wanna call SPCA but I'm scared lol

I lived through it all. Cockroaches, mice, rats, bugs, ants, bats, birds, even squirrels. I hate squirrels =___=;
Use poison and traps. As for bats, birds, and squirrels, try calling the humane society. Oh! Oh! I had to call them a few times regarding racoons in the house as well .__.

I live in the woods so in the summer lots of bugs crawling on the floor is something I got used to.

There are never any mammal pests in the house though.

I moved 23 times. Probably more, those are all the houses I can remember after grade 2.
Moved through 6 provinces as well. You wouldn't believe the houses that we lived in and in what conditions they were in =___=;
Let's just put it this way, my childhood was terrible. There's a reason I'm afraid of the dark..
