i have a friend in a very similar situation except he never once had the girl...
i've been keeping an eye on him worried in what he might do to himself...
he would often ask me favors like "can you please kill me" or say "i dont care what happens to me anymore"

I don't know why you should laugh at this no matter what kind death it is, it is always serious and shouldn't be taken laughter even though there are different degrees of death it should always be taken in consideration. I mean his heart was broken to the extent that he wanted to suicide ever think about that. Why don't you think about any loved ones that died? Or if you didn't have any loved ones died think about seriously a loved one dieing in the future? Wouldn't you be sad?

Facebook is afterall online, sometimes you just need someone next to you talking to you not posting something on a wall....

Suicide in my opinion is a cowardly act. LIFE IS TOUGH! Deal with it. I myself had a terrible break up with my ex of 8 and a half years. She left me a damn "Dear John" letter. "Are you f***ing kidding me?! A letter is all I deserve?" is what I kept asking. Left me depressed for a very long time. Am I over it? I'll never be completely over it but I'll live.
Again life is tough but remember that life is also beautiful. Persevere and fight the good fight(as they say). You'll find reward in effort. Never give up, you are your own worst enemy. A healthy mind goes a long way.

Just for your information, the girl has been dating him for only 4 months before he died. The reason to why she wants to break up with him is that she wants to get back together with her ex-boyfriend.
p.s. And obviously the '8-years old' was meant to be sarcastic.

I wonder what made him think that suicide is a way out of misery?
If he loves his girlfriend that much, I'm sure he knows that there's a better way out. Suicide, in my opinion, shouldn't even be an option. Had I been in his shoes, I'd find much difficulties in not thinking of the consequences upon the girlfriend. His death will permanently leave a dark mark in her memories. If he really loved her, I think it's pretty obvious that his act will only cause her to fall into sorrow instead of joy.

Yet at the end of the day the biggest supporter is yourself. Sometimes you can't depend on others to help you out of a bind. It's called having inner strength and apparently this dude didn't have it.
Yes, breaking up sucks. A normal person would cry for awhile, eat some ice cream, have a drink or two, and move on with their lives besides the pain, not jump from a 14 story building; especially only after 4 months.

It's not like he didn't have options, he just chose this one.
I'm just happy he didn't land on my car.
That girl knew she was moving on beyond him and here's hoping for her sake it was well worth it.
Maybe she was the only woman that could deal with his self mutilation fetish and was sick of wearing spurs and a whip in the bedroom.
