Video's don't play

Hi,

I've been having this problem for a while now. Basically, just after an episode comes out, I can't seem to play a video (that, or it's EXTREMELY slow to load, because I do seem to get a bit of content after a few minutes).

It seems to be happening for frequently now. Is this a bandwidth issue, or something else?

I have been having this same issue for the last few weeks while watching Naruto, Bleach and Fairytale.

It plays then freezes and then studders so much i close the browser. infact it's doin this on the latest episodes of Fairytale as im typing this.

I've had a similar problem. I'll be watching a video, it slows down then stop and takes forever to start up again. Seems like the problem hits me mostly at night (10pm est or later). If I watch durning the day it doesn't happen. Its not on my end, I get well over 20megabits down and 10 up. Any chance this will be fixed? Seems like a waste, I like to unwind in the evening and watch a few eps of something and its almost always bogged down to hell.

edit:
After nearly 30 mins of trying to watch kiddy girl and ep 8 and only getting the 1st 12 seconds to play I've given up tonight.

Seeing as this issue occurred OVER A MONTH AGO, it really doesn't feel like the CR Admins are doing much to light a fire under their service provider to get this fixed.

I have tried every "solution" suggested in this thread: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-627053/help-with-video-playback-problems

...and nothing has worked. I can't watch ANY videos. I'm canceling my premium membership after this month unless the playback issues are resolved. Blaming it on a service provider who hasn't fixed the issue in a month isn't going to cut it forever. :/

Well the video just came out and when it just comes out 1000s of people watch it so of course it is going to lag can't you wait an hour or even 30 minutes till not a lot of people are watching it?

Ryukjr, how is that relevant to the problem that a lot of other people are experiencing video playback issues? Please don't generalize and condemn an issue that clearly more than one person is having with more than one video.

I'm not watching ANY videos that "just came out" and I'm watching them around 1am-2am PST, which can hardly be considered a "peak" viewing time, so I highly doubt thousands of people are trying to watch Episode 5 of Hanasakeru Seishonen at 1am PST.

And just to clarify, my videos don't "lag", they simply do not play at all.

I don't see how this is relevant either. The fact of the matter is I pay to get access to these videos the moment they're released. That's what the service is built around. If I have to wait 30 minutes to an hour, it's too late to watch at night and I might as well download the torrent the next day.

If it is a server issue/lag issue. The servers should be localised or bandwidth increased (I'm in Australia if you're wondering).

I was watching Cruchyroll most of this week with no problems at all. Suddenly, these past few days the loading on the movies either don't start at all or they are incredibly slow. If I pause and restart, the audio cuts out.

I've tried refreshing, and it doesn't do anything.

I seriously doubt it's something on my end. I was only watching these videos in SD and on youtube I have no problems streaming 1080p videos.

Same problem here, looks like flash.quantserver.com is refusing me, it keeps loading but nothing happens.
Also happens with older shows so TailsK is fishing in the wrong pond.

I'm having a issue where videos just crash the flash player from the start. But once a video gets started and runs, it's fine from there. My strategy is reload until the video loads into flash properly. This takes anywhere from only 2 attempts to 100 attempts. The latter taking 2 consecutive hours of reloading my browser consistantly. A huge expenditure of time that could be better used watching anime and having no life.

AH! Gonna cancel my subscription at this rate.

Older shoes work at SD or 480p, but have trouble at 720p. The biggest issue, however, is that it happens with new releases, regardless of video quality.

Gave it a try again and everything works now... Doesn't matter if it is new or old, before that none of the shows worked, age or quality didn't matter. You would see a pic of the show in the videoscreen and then it would just stay black.
So I have no idea what was wrong. Didn't update or download anything since yesterday.
