I have a ds turning eight before Christmas, and we're still getting ready for that!!!! I have lots on my hook before Christmas comes and can't imagine accomplishing it all (crocheted gifts). Of course my new addiction to the CR is not helping!!!! ~smile~ (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Christmas is based on paganism and full of fake fantasy stuff, as well as serves to bring on a crazy spending season. True Christianity wouldn't even celebrate that. Of course I don't celebrate it. I tend to look at the origins and meanings of things before adopting it for the sake of its superficial "glamour".

So yeah. That's my take on the holiday. =P

AW Fortuna! LOL! *I think* I'm a real Christian! We celebrate very simply (one gift per child), and our children don't believe in Santa. We love our daily Advent devotions and attending free symphonies and period readings, etc. We do have a tree and enjoy looking at lights, but we don't worship the tree and do study the origins of different practices~always pausing to reflect on where our hearts are pointed. ~smile~

I do have friends that don't celebrate though and was in that camp for many years myself in the past. (((((HUGS))))) sandi

Not done (read not started) with Xmas shopping yet; however, it is a tradition for me to do it at the eleventh hour.

Usually my Christmas is celebrated by getting together and drinking with my family...lol. Anyways I bought all my Christmas stuff at work... like two weeks ago. I am a procrastinator when it comes to Christmas.... but I was ready early this year!

Okay so I need to get my boyfriends family a present in the city. Today's the only day i can do it as the boyfriend has an exam tomorrow and I'm on a plane the day after that.
He said to me last night "It's fine, even if we wake up at 2 in the afternoon we can still go in"
We didn't get to sleep until 5am due to his stocking up on Red Bull and now we only just woke up... and it's half 2.
I shouldn't be on CR but I am.
