shadow_grey wrote: Dude, that lass got swag!!! My only apprehension is that Korra is pretty much set. It's difficult to create "'strong' character", in the storytelling sense, if that character doesn't need to go through a lot of hardships with the reader or audience to develop his or herself. Characters like "Naruto," "Harry Potter" and "Aang" are characters that make an good impression cause the audience or reader goes through a lot of trouble with them and these characters "grow" within the audience or readers's imagination. This is my only concern with this animation. I have a feeling that I wouldn't like it as much because of this, which sucks because I really like Korra, her look, personality and all, it's just a shame that she had to be so strong right at the beginning. but it will be interesting to see how she softens and gets wiser (by learning air-bending) and (judging with some preview clips from Nick) we'll see how she's powerless in the beginning when she meets the bad guy. we also havnt seen her going into the supernatural world thingy n it'll be interesting how she's having a hard time to do it (spec) |

Saw episode 3 today.
I just gotta say I love Tenzen's kids. Melo is like Ang on a sugar rush and the girls wonderful, loved how they were teasing her when Mako showed up. |

At first I was a little put off by Korra's voice from one of the trailers but after hearing it more and seeing the eps I'm loving the show.

Episode 3 was just as amazing as the previous two! Wow, it's got some Code Geass undertones (Britannia vs Area 11). I love how the conflict is darker the first series. The animation is top-notch, I can just admire the city the whole day. I just hope they don't keep playing up the romance because the story is very interesting.

I just hope she doesn't lose any of her swagger, which is rare to see in feminine characters, unless they're villains or tsundere. |

i really like the new series, just watched the 3rd episode and i really like the darker mood it bring to the story.
i'm glad that this differentiates itself from the previous show but doesn't go too far from its origins the action sequences really really improved, its much more dynamic |

believes that D-Frag and Nisekoi deserve an anime

Totally lurv the new series, but i like the original WAY better. I really wanna see later in the show Korra goin into da Spirit World and meetin Aang (cuz i really wanna see him grown up) but she mite have trouble cuz so far it doesnt seem she doesnt see the spiritual side of bein the avatar....but she still rocks and mako is HAWT

After watching the first 3 episodes I can honestly say it was pretty good.
This new season relates to the old one in a way that it doesn't rely on it too much it's as if it's a different show altogether and you don't need to watch the first season in order to fully understand what's happening. It's too early to make any conclusions now but that' basically it I guess. |
