Fuck the rules, there's too many of them! None of these things are romantic; they're clingy and slave-like behaviour. If your girlfriend can't accept you for who you are, then kick their ass to the curb and move on to someone else who will. I honestly can't imagine why a woman would want someone like this.

except that.. as guys, we mostly know better. if we really did all this, we'd be boring clingy slaves and get dumped.

That is all I have to say.

Unfortunately anyone who is in that description is pretty much the guy who is unappreciated because he doesn't have the looks or isn't the girl's type. These type of guys are your "guy friends" or "bffs" and is easily overlooked because of that. I don't know how many women I've treated with care, kindness, and support and they push me into that friend department. Then they go off saying why they can't find a nice guy that'll treat them right when their once called "prince charming" treats them wrong and doesn't respect them personally or by relationship. Chopped liver standing here listening to you at a time when no one else cares enough. Salt in the wound is when they bypass the very fact you have feelings for them saying you'll find a nice girlfriend that'll appreciate you right to your face. Just makes me wish I could trade the nice guy for simply good looks because they seem to get the girl in the end. But I can't and I don't want to be a jerk. So coming to accept that I like myself for who I am (which is a nice guy) and being old fashioned that will never really be appreciated is just the way it is. Chivalry is dead because people made it. Its just not noticed or admired anymore.

People like that don't exist. If they do, which they probably do, then they are never noticed and most likely are the people who you think is are outsiders. I am one of those people.
