I'm not familiar with these, but Demonbane looks totally up my alley. How exciting! Plus I've seen that girl around, I'm going to trust it has some reasonable popularity.
All these catalog titles are so exciting |

What's the point in a Premium membership when there is NEVER new content for my region. Over the past few months I've seen DOZENS AND DOZENS of shows announced and not a SINGLE ONE has been available in Australia.
Yes I'm angry. If you live in any of the regions where these titles are available and are not a premium member, my dollar (and the dollars of everyone else who gets constantly denied) paid for it. I'm getting sick and tired of coming here looking for anime and getting the finger instead. Crunchyroll treats a handful of regions as its audience, and the rest of the world as its income. Cut our membership costs in half, or give us some anime to watch. This is ridiculous. |

Not as angry as this but I do agree New Zealand and Australia if its available in one then it will be in the other. We are living in the wrong countries LOL |

Cut our membership costs in half, or give us some anime to watch. This is ridiculous. (full disclosure: I'm a US resident and premium member) It's not that simple. I'm not directly involved with CR or the anime industry as a whole, but I was friendly enough with people who were during the early-2000s boom period. No matter how silly it seems in the digital era (and trust me, content licensors are nothing if not silly as regards digital rights) every country is a different contract, and sometimes there are countries where a show isn't available at any price or costs as much to license for a very small market as it does for the US, with a return on investment being literally impossible. You complain that CR is ignoring Australia, when most of the blame probably lies at the licensors' feet and not CR who would I'm sure LOVE to get the Australian rights if they're at a financially viable rate. Assuming a rate reduction is out of the question (I'm not touching that subject with a ten foot pole since it doesn't really relate to transmission rights, just value-for-money which is subjective) and Australian rights aren't available, would you then insist that CR stop licensing new shows in order to protect your perception of your investment? I mean, I can kind of understand the frustration, but every time a new announcement gets made people flip out because "CR is ignoring/milking/etc. us" when the issue's a lot more complex. Frankly, my perception is likely somewhat skewed by my location, but I want to see CR license everything they can for the territories they can. Lastly, I think it's important to note that the dozen or so shows introduced in the last month are all limited to roughly the same territories because they're all from the same company and were acquired as a set.[/i Getting progressively angrier over a big package deal that happens to have been announced over several Wednesdays is bad for your blood pressure, and doesn't really do anyone any good. |
