Alright so I used the app to watch 6 episodes of Maburaho yesterday during my Christmas travels. It works great on 3G but loses the video if the connection drops to 1x for a few minutes. There is some artifacting of the video during play(7-8 times per video) which is probably caused by the slow processor of my phone. When the power button is used to put the phone into lock mode, if a video is playing the audio will continue to play. If you lock your phone with a video open (doesnt matter if the video is paused or not) when you unlock the phone the video restarts from the beginning.
Also the phone would not display subtitles for Maburaho episode 22. I tried turning the phone on and off and this did not solve the issue.

wow... so far so good with my mytouch 3g its smooth and its what Ive always wanted my phone to do. Play anime on my phone while working.

want put my 2 cents in. when you are on the web site press your menu button on your phone and go to setting in the setting there is an option to un check the "mobile view" this should take you to the regular desktop website. Also when playing the videos on crunchy roll change the quality of the video to sd. Since you are watching it on your mobile phone it shouldn't be noticeable, 720p quality video will make your video lag.

I have been trying the app and havent been able to get it to work on my Archos 70 or Moto Droid. The Archos starts the video and then says it can't play the media. The Droid gives me a message asking me to upgrade to a premium account which i signed in with at the beginning.
Edit: i found out that when i logged in using my email instead of username it didnt work. Username signin fixed the issue with the droid.

I love the new app! I have a couple suggestions, though. I would love the see the Watch List added to the app to help us(me) remember what episode we're(I'm) on and it would be great to have the website and the app sync where we are on a video - example: I'm 10 minutes into the newest episode of Bleach on my computer on the website and have to go work. When I get to work, I realize I'm early so I open the app on my phone and go to the same episode. The app should start right where I left off.

Ah, right, a 480p mode for the would be all kinds of neat.
Not sure what the average Android's screen resolution is, but the Xperia X10 would benefit from a 480p option.
For an initial alpha release the app is pretty fantastic, though.
