You can't defend that arguement when it is all ready free to view on the Ipad and the Itouch. It just isn't fair. Oh and lets get a PS3 compatibility going on as well. - Thank you So they should have held releasing the app until the coding to add support for commercials was added? Keep in mind this is an alpha version. Alpha typically means buggy and incomplete. |

I have a free 30 day anime-only premium account that Crunchyroll offered so that I can try the app but I can't watch any shows on said app. It keeps saying I need to upgrade.
Edit: got it working by uninstalling and re-installing. I'd suggest support to log out and back in. I think it was acting up because I tried to use it before I upgraded and it kept my old credentials instead of updating them from the Crunchyroll servers. |

How did you get the free 30 day premium account? Just wondering because I wanted to try the app too but don't have a premium membership account. |

I have an HTC EVO, and I finally got around to trying it out, and love it! Watched a whole episode on it, and it works great, even in my still 3G coverage area. Thanks so much, it's my new favorite app!

oh, FYI to admins.... since I'm a writer under evaluation over at absolutelyandroid.com, I took the liberty of making a review for the app. Hopefully it will get the word out to more people. Love the app so far, alittle choppyness with streaming, but loving it. (using a samsung captivate with the i9000 JPX firmware... I know... I tinker some....)

Youtube the 3rd biggest site in the world doesn't even have ads coded into their app and they are a billion dollar industry unlike crunchyroll which is the 3753rd biggest site in the world they make way less money then YouTube. 3. the IPad,IPhone and IPod touch when they were in alpha they didn't have ads coded in either so for a time they were premium members only to. |

It works great on nexus one on 3G even with just 2 bars of signal. The alpha is pretty stable so far and hope the standard functionalities will be finalized soon.
Some needed features that I hope that can be added: 1. 180 degree viewing orientation 2. Browse function for anime 3. Featured anime (same as in the ipad app) 4. Anime viewed history 5. Same anime library for mobile app that is seen in desktop/web version 6. Bookmark/paused function for videos to view where you left off after you put the phone to sleep I know the steaming quality is pretty decent on mobile devices but I hope you guys can offer HQ quality in the future similar to the youtube app. Thanks and I'll keep on supporting you guys and hoping for a good anime lineup this winter 2011. |
