I just received a letter in the mail from Otaku USA magazine saying that my "free trial" is about to expire and that I can purchase the year subscription for "19.99" which is the price I gave chrunchyroll, so did they take my money only for a free trial or is this an error? Kinda ticks me off sense I am new to crunchyroll and I hope they aren't trying to screw me over, thanks.

Well if you've paid, then most likely its an error. Call them up and see what's up.

yea just give them a call or email. They are very friendly and very helpful. I got a free issue since when I got the first deal they sent it out late so they gave me one free issue and a letter apologizing for the delay.

They send the renewal letters out just about every other month regardless of how many issues you have left on your subscription. You could sign up and pay them two years worth of subscription in advance and they probably would still send those renewal letters to your mailbox. I just throw them away when they arrive.

As others have said, call them to make sure there are no errors.

If everything is fine, then get use to receiving letters or posts in the mail saying that your magazine subscription is going to expire soon. All magazines do this to get you to pay for subscriptions in advanced.

My grandparents have a lot of subscriptions and one day decided just to go through and stop paying for the subscriptions they no longer read. A few of the subscriptions they found out that they had paid 10-15 years worth in advanced already. My grandparents would see the letter in the mail saying they should pay before their subscription expires, and they would do it every time they got one, forgetting that they already paid for it a month or two before.

They were however able to call and get refunds on the subscriptions that they paid in advance. They got something like $700 back in refunds.
