Well one day in english last year we were talking about symbolism and on of our assignments was to find an object that symbolizes ourselfs.

Example (what I chose)
I chose the sun for many reasons
1. The sun is very bright and i've been told i'm very bright
2. the sun brings life to earth and i though that would me bringing life to people, so if someones down I'm able to cheer them up :)
3.the sun is very hot (jk XD)
4.when its a cloudy day the sun always tries to shine through, which the cloud could represent how there could be a problem and how no matter what i can make it through
5. the sun also have solar flares and solars flares are short explosions on the sun so like when u get me mad, i'm mad but for a short about of time
6. but also the sun represents a happy and outgoing personality :)

Tell me what object symbolizes you :)

The sun constantly sends out deadly radiation. (Poisoning everyone)
People cannot look at the sun, or they will go blind. (Forcing all living beings to bow their heads)
The earth will most likely be destroyed when the sun starts to go red giant. (Inevitable death)
Makes guys all sweaty and disturbed. (Corrupter of men)

And water is essential to live, grow crops, ect, yet it drowns us. Not hard to find negatives to anything and everything. She said she represents the positive aspects, not the negatives. You don't have to represent an entirety of anything.

A likes all of C
B likes some of C
Z claims B is the same as A

Y so pessimist?

And where does she say she represent the positive aspects?

If I had to I would symbolize the tongue. The tongue enables us to speak, taste, french kiss, and lastly, opting out of life when no other method is presented.

Dust. Because I realize I am nothing but insignificance to this world.

She didn't.
I did.

As a direct reference to what OP was stating. Unless you were representing yourself in the negative aspects of the sun. You should have stated that you were choosing the sun. You already showed that you jump to conclusions, closing your eyes does not always represent darkness, as you stated otherwise.

I don't remember thanking you.

I was not choosing the sun.
I was representing the negative attributes of the sun.
Did you not also jump to a conclusion, assuming that she only wanted the positives?
I notice he never corrected my theory of "Darkness".

Then that would be quite rude of you.
I'll let you make it up to me with an apology + thanks.

I was representing the negative attributes of the sun.

Thanks for clearing up the easy to confuse statement. I am sorry that your unspecified comment was constructed in a format that exhibited confusion.

Because poison, enslavement, death, and corruption are ambiguous in regards to whether they are negative or positive.
I'm sorry you were so easily confused.
Maybe if I put them all into a colour-code like you have above, it would be easier for you to comprehend?

Conveying thoughts in a manner that will leave little speculation is the job of the individual making an exertion, not the audience receiving. I felt it necessary to help you provide transparency as to what you were stating.
