Has Crunchyroll tried to get permission to host episodes of licenced anime? I'm talking about besides Naruto and Bleach.

If not, I really think they should. I'm no authoritative figure for anime in any way, but I think it would help the industry a lot.

So many people download anime today, and that's killing the industry. Not only is it illegal and taking money away from hard working people, but people could also get viruses on their computers, depending on the source. If Crunchyroll got rights to host episodes of many licensed anime, then people could watch their favorite anime without risk of losing their computer to a virus, and they will probably be helping the industry (assuming watching anime on this site helps the industry).

I don't know about getting rights to host episodes of un-licensed anime, or even if that does anything. If that helps though, I say keep it up.

Those are my thoughts at least.

I'm sure they'd like to do more of that if they could. Crunchyroll is already a domestic partner of Bandai and Media Blasters at least. ADV Films was once one as well before they went belly up and split into Sentai/Section 23/TAN. Funi has been stand off'sh so far, but there is potential with say a Viz Media deal somewhere down the line.

Media Blasters? That's surprising to me. Still, I'm glad that some companies are partners with Crunchyroll.
