Well, I figured since there was a forum for dramas, I should make one for anime too. Also, since I was beginning to get addicted to anime movies and didn't want to put it in the drama forum, I decided to put it here.

Anime Movies~

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time ~ more info in the drama forum.

Studio Ghibli Works~:: Whisper of the Heart ~ Most people know the common Studio Ghibli works, so I want to name the not-as-common works by Studio Ghibli that are just as great as the popular ones. This movie was really touching actually, and left me smiling the whole way. Very nice touch to it

5 cm per Second ~ this one is a typical shoujo/romance movie, except it is in the perspective of three different parties--2 girls and 1 boy. In the beginning, it's actually quite boring, but it's really actually very well thought out, and all three parties are somehow related to each other. Very nicely put together.

Summer Wars ~ No, it's not a movie about real wars. This movie is actually directed by the same person that directed The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. I fairly enjoyed this movie too, it's like an action-packed sort of digital fantasy with a sprinkle of romance in it. Very nice (My favorite character is the guy in the back)

Voices of a Distant Star ~ another anime movie, well, actually, it's a 30 min. OAV. A bit confusing, the art is mediocre, however it's a sadly realistic story of how two people are separated from each other...Another Makoto Shinkai film. Other known Makoto Shinkai films are 5 CM per second and The Place Promised in Our Early Days (this movie, I was watching but I never finished it--maybe someone can for me).

Amagami SS
Two years ago, Tachibana Junichi got his heart broken by a girl who didn't show up for a date on Christmas Eve. Now a second year student in high school, Junichi spends his days inside his closet planetarium, going to school and hanging out with his friends Tanamachi Kaoru and Umehara Masayoshi.

After a chance encounter with one of the most beautiful girls in school, the third year student Morishima Haruka, Junichi finds himself spending time with her, carrying books for her or having her unexpectedly jump on his back and act as she's a jockey and he's her horse. Soon enough, Junichi becomes romantically interested in Haruka which leads to...

Amagami SS is based on a PS2 dating game featuring six different girls. The story of the anime will be arranged in an omnibus format, with each heroine getting her own version of the story animated. Each heroine will sing her own version of the ending theme song.
~
So basically, there are 6 main heroines, each with her own arc of 4 episodes (24 episodes in total)
Though it isn't a real serious romantic anime, I thought it was fun to watch all the different arcs of the different girls. Fav was definitely the Tsukasa (last) arc

Kimikiss Pure Rouge
Kouichi Sanada and Kazuki Aihara's childhood friend Mao Mizusawa has returned after living in France for several years. Kouichi is surprised to learn that his mother has agreed to let Mao stay with them, since her parents are remaining overseas for the time being. The three friends help each other deal with the ups and downs of high school romance.

I really loved this one, particularly because of my favorite (side) couple KazukiXEriko

...I'm stating all Shoujo anime aren't I...?
Hmm...

For a less popular shounen anime I'd recommend Soul Eater, though many people have probably already watched that before.

Soul Eater
Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" which is the highest title for a weapon and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.

Maka & Soul Eater, Black Star & Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls, these students of Shibusen defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger.
