Epic Prepping Gears of War Ultimate
New bundle confirmed. Does not involve Gears of War 3.

Microsoft and Epic Games are preparing a new Gears of War bundle for Xbox 360 next year.

A listing for something called Gears of War Ultimate appeared on GameStop's website yesterday. No details about the product are currently listed, except that it's priced at $29.99 and has a release date of Feb. 15, 2011.

Microsoft confirmed to IGN that the GameStop listing is legit, but would not say when we can expect to hear more details. This bundle will not involve Gears of War 3, set for release in late 2011, or the multiplayer beta.

"We can confirm a forthcoming bundle SKU involving the Gears franchise, though this may not be the final SKU name," a representative said. "There are no specifics available at this time, except to say it will not involve Gears of War 3 or the beta."

This bundle is likely a package containing Gears of War 1 and 2 with the additional downloadable content included. However, this may also involve the rumored Gears of War Kinect project that was originally supposed to debut at the Spike TV Video Game Awards show last month.

Black Ops Most Pirated Title of 2010
Super Mario Galaxy 2, Dante's Inferno take top console spots.

Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC was downloaded illegally over four million times in one month, according to new data collected by the website TorrentFreak.

The data, which was gathered from several sources, including reports from all public BitTorrent trackers, shows Black Ops edging out EA's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on PC for the top spot. This should come as no surprise to most gamers as Black Ops already generated over $1 billion in revenue for the publisher in just over a week.

Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for PC was 2009's most pirated title with 4,100,000 downloads.

Things look a bit different on the home console front, however. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was tops on Wii, which was downloaded illegally nearly 1.5 million times while EA's Dante's Inferno hit the most downloads on Xbox 360 with 1.3 million.

Below are the top five most pirated games for PC, Wii, and Xbox 360 as of Dec. 26, 2010, courtesy of TorrentFreak.com:

Bayonetta (ベヨネッタ Beyonetta?) is an action game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 developed by Platinum Games in cooperation with publisher Sega. Set in a fictional city in Europe, the game centers on its title character, Bayonetta, who uses pistols and magical attacks to defeat enemies. The game has five difficulty settings; its two easiest settings contain a game mode playable with only one button, similar to a mode used in Devil May Cry. Its developers designed its characters with modern style and fashion in mind, and composed for it a largely upbeat soundtrack.
Development of the game started around January 2007, and it was released in Japan in late October 2009, with a U.S. release following in January 2010. It has been promoted through a television commercial with music by Japanese pop singer MiChi, look-alike searches, a theme for the Google Chrome Web browser, a photo book, and soundtracks. In the United States and the United Kingdom, commercials have featured La Roux's "In for the Kill (Skream's Let's Get Ravey Remix)". Critical reviews have praised its easily learned yet deep combat, fast pace, boss battles, time slowdown or "Witch Time" mechanic, and character and stage designs. The game has sold over 1.35 million units worldwide. On December 10th, 2010, IGN UK, in an episode of the weekly IGN Weekend Initiative show, announced that Bayonetta was their pick for the 2010 Game of the Year (GOTY). Cliff Blezinski, Design Director of Epic Games, has stated that he is a fan of the game's "crunchy" game design. Later on when asked what game in history he would liked to have worked on, he stated "Bayonetta".
