Because I watched anime as a child and got hooked on it, it was entertaining and pretty good and way better then any of the cartoons that were around, as well got hooked on manga a few years later when I saw their book equivalents, loved the art and stories and even the good comedy that some of them bring. Absolutely loved the stuff way better then alot of things in my opinion.

i watched anime since i was little. now i hav grown to luv anime and manga.

Well, I was interested in it before I met these weird people that I call 'friends'. However, I never felt comfortable with coming out with it, because of a lot of family drama and other BS. Then I met my friends and it just spewed out of me like candy from a beaten pinata. Luckily for me, some of that 'candy' is rubbing off on some of my family. And they hate me for it because it's that damn good XD

Because I can't stop. I find a lot of the series I like to be so entertaining and they really cheer me up or blow my mind. It helped link me to a few of my closest friends and I just really enjoy the fandom(minus the crazies).

Honestly I got more into anime while I was married and more so after my devorce I got into manga and so far both are like windows to the artists styles moreso than american comics that only try to badly mimic such things. When you get into manga you learn that each artist has a style and some really good mangakas can just keep you coming back each week for more and more or each month. Anime is just a great way to be entertained and other times give a good cry or a good laugh. Its all greatly written and sometimes wonderfully drawn and done. Different styles for art really do wonders like with Baka to Test with the change in style from episode to episode or even True Tears with the oilpainting like scenery and characters that just tug on the heartstrings.

why? because i enjoy them, dont really know the reason why i got into it but who care, they make me happen, sad, angry, envious, silly,etc, etc. and the day i stop is hopefully the day i die : )
