hmm looks like I'm 3 for 4 so far. I'll give Cardfight a look, doesn't really look like my thing but then again neither did Milky Holms. You never know what you got till you see it.

Go Sick however I am looking forward to and glad to see CR got it.

Glad to see GoSick is on board, and I'll be watching two out of four at least. I'll give Rio - Rainbow Gate a try of course, but I don't like card-game style anime.

Cardfight!! Vanguard? I'm not really into cardgame type animes...

But I am really psyched for GOSICK, I've been looking forward to it. It sounds like a really cool mystery, but hey I could be wrong, but I have my hopes for this one. So far, GOSICK!! and Beezlebub are on my list, can't wait to see what the next releases will be, Im hoping for Kore wa Zombie Desu ka

Fantastic. Now all that is needed is to get Level E and to charge down the legal gates of Funimation to snatch some Noitamina titles!

Not going to happen, though ~ not without a cross-streaming deal with Funimation. DVD royalties are still worth a heap more dollars than streaming rights, and DVD dub royalties worth the most of all, so what Funimation is willing to dangle a DVD dub distribution license for, Funimation gets.

That may not be true. There are several series currently on Crunchyroll that Sentai Filmworks / ADV have licenced for DVD release. Koihime Muso being one of them. Also look at some recent streams. Lucky Star is licenced by Bandai, Bleach & Naruto are though Viz is memory serves. Sora no Otoshimono was licenced, Gundam 00, Neo Angelique, Eureka Seven, Omamori Himari, Hayate, Maburaho, Code Geass, Haruhi, Steel Angel Kurumi, Kurokami, Digimon, Queen's Blade, Saiyuki, and many others.

Blassreiter, Ikki Tousen, Linebarrels of Iron, Strike Witches, and Tower of Druaga are all current Funimation licences airing on Cruncyroll. Even some Funi titles are on theanimenetwork.com which was started by ADV I believe.

Point is Crunchyroll has the -possibility- of getting the Index / Railgun series among many others. And out of all the legit online streaming sites, Crunchyroll not only has the best quality, but the best bang for your $$$ if you subscribe. I can't stand Hulu and theanimenetwork.com is just slow and sloppy. If everything was confined to Crunchyroll I'd be a happy camper and more than happy to pay double what I do now easily.

You appear to be confusing the issue. First, you are bringing companies other than Funimation into the mix, and titles that Funimation obtained from Geneon after they were already licensed to CR. Next, you are bringing in series that were licensed for simulcast before they were later licensed for DVD distribution, and series that are licensed to Crunchyroll by the DVD distributor.

Let's make this simple: Name one series that was licensed for simulcast to Crunchyroll after Funimation announced a simulcast or DVD license.

That said, we are also talking about companies that might pass on licensing to Crunchyroll or elsewhere for simulcast, in the belief that it might hurt their chances of a DVD license with Funimation. This is more likely to be seen with a company that has an existing relationship with Funimation but not with Crunchyroll. A company that has no pre-existing relationship with Crunchyroll (such as Kadokawa and TV Tokyo) would be more likely to follow this route, especially if they already had a pre-existing relationship with Funimation, and had reason to expect Funimation to license the title.

Cardfight is not interesting in the slightest so I wont watch it. Gosick sounds interesting but why is it subscription only for the Uk. Nowhere else needs one. I could understand with something like Fairy Tail where it's like that everywhere but why just us.

I'm guessing this means someone is already after the disk rights for it (or has them) in the UK. So the production comitee/ licensee are making it payed only so as to keep those disks worth more; at the request of whoever licensed it (or plans too).

Also wondering what the ? is, I know there are supposed to be 3 announced today so we'll see, also I thought this was a bit early for announcements so maybe they don't have the third ready yet.

Anyway... cardfight is not on my list for this season but Gosick is so 1/2 for today so far, hopefully they will make it 2/3.

Right now, unless they didn't renew it, I believe Funimation has every noitaminA, which is why they got Kuragehime last season and The Tatami Galaxy the season or so before. Although I heard talk they may not renew it since they are going through a sale, but I haven't kept up on that.

The rest is this simple... Crunchyroll and Funimation = enemies... if Funi has it, CR will not get it, unless CR got it before Funi picked it up... other companies seem to have a much friendlier relationship with CR... Funi has always had their own way of doing things and have usually been behind the curve. They have had their own new shiny streaming site in the works for a couple years now and still can't seem to get it done, and all it will probably be is what we are on now, so behind the curve, again. For Funimation the internet and it's potential in general has been outside their grasp and understanding for years, teaming up with other companies to use said medium? Yeah right... just give up... Funi and CR will probably never be friends.

Different day of the week but same date?

Anyway, thanks for adding Gosick. Too bad Cardfight Vanguard has very limited region restrictions but i'm really happy with Gosick.

Gag, another card game anime. Oh well.

"Gosick" however is a fun little manga, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it as an anime.

Good, now CR has confirmed another show that I would subscribe for just by itself. And it'll last two seasons, too!

The original light novels are even better (and the first two have been printed in English).

They must have forgotten Poland. One should never forget Poland.

the third anime is probably going to be mitsudomoe zouryouchuu.

But it might not be since crunchyroll got mitsudomoe like the day episode 4 aired.
