Do you think that our generation or new generation is spoiled?
Posted 1/6/11 , edited 1/6/11
You always hear your Grandparents banging on about how we get things too easily and how they got a satsuma in their stocking not a video game and all that jazz, that is true.

I find it funny that people blame violence in today’s kids on video games and that they ‘mimic’ what they see on such games as GTA. You don’t see kids running around dressed as an Italian plumber jumping over walls do you? -__- Ugh! Its not the gaming industries fault, the kid is just fucked up. Its just evolution, I asked my Dad if things had changed since the 80’s and he was like “Yeah people don’t change, but times do.” Wise words Pap, wise words.

Lmao! Exactly I save all my violence for The Sims, just build a fence around them and watch them piss themselves and die. Its not reality so I can do what I want. A messed up person however would build a fence around a real person and watch them piss themselves and die. Its all psychological

So, if my parents didn't get a computer until they were 37 years old, and I got mine's when I was 11 years old, its considered spoiled?

answer me this are you giong to throw away your computer when you get a new one or if it breaks? or will you keep it or try to get it fixed?

I'm sorry if this makes me sound like an ass, but if you own a computer that is over 5 years old, buying a new one is infinitely better than trying to fix the old one.

.............yeah that did but also throwing away a working computer in the trash is also a sign of immaturity. I mean come on I have a computer that's 5 years old full maxed out with 3 gigs of ram 500 gig hard-drive etc etc

It's like that with every new generation. Most parents want their kids to have what they didn't when they were children.

There is something called recycling. You can also give it to someone that can't afford a new computer.

Sorry kid, but thats just a blatant waste of money. Why waste a perfectly good computer when you can just add on to it and make it better and make it have personality something that alot kids are lacking today. Thats a huge waste of your parents money, i have a notebook i bouth 2 years ago and its works just fine ive put tons of photos on it an dadded onto the softeware making ti better AND ALL WITH MY OWN MONEY probably unliek ypu. Recycling? my ass if you cared so much about wasting something donate that laptop to a foundation that gives em to unfortuante kids who CANT afford the luxuries of owning one.

There's a point in which upgrading your computer costs more than buying a new one. (mainly for systems that use the original DDR)
As a computer enthusiast myself I hate seeing people throw away something because they didn't want to take the time to find out what was wrong. But I really don't want to spend as much money as I could buy a new computer fixing up an old year 2000 computer.
