Keep in mind, people of today are quite weaker then those in the past. In medieval times, they didn't have computers, video games, cars, super markets. Everything was physical, and they were in far better shape then we are today.

Makes you wonder just how incredible some of the greatest of the ancient warriors were back in the day. Also, the brain only processes 2000 neural electrons when over 500,000 signals are constantly being sent to your cortex. What you are seeing, even while you read this is processed from your visual cortex, nothing but a small part of that overall 2000 neural signals that your brain can process every split second. Imagine what the human brain could do if it was able to process the full 500,000, levels beyond the five senses. Beyond thought, beyond reason.

Anyways, here's a cool clip of a samurai cutting a bb pellet with a sword.

I present to you the Super Samurai: http://www.history.com/shows/stan-lees-superhumans/videos/playlists/superhuman-bios#super-samurai

Btw: If you have time check out some of the other ones, there rather cool.

thats pretty awesome

Only a exceptionally well-made Katana could have that precision, awesome.

They call it "Japanese steel" because there is one place in Japan that produces a special type of sand called Tamahagane to make the best steel for the swords with no impurities. You wont get a sharper sharp than from there, I forget the name of the village where its produced.

I like Stan Lee's Superhumans. Some of them, to me, aren't really superhumans, but still awesome enough to watch and learn about. The guy cutting the bb pellet is pretty badass, though, and definitely my favorite. Is that show still on? I didn't get a chance to watch many of the episodes.

Well to clarify this - you are wrong.
Reason:
- wealth / nutrition
...
average citizen (modern)
- Taller
- Physical condition is better (nutrition) -
- Physical education / Sports
- Medical treatment
etc.

average citizen ( past)
- Poor medical treatment
- Bad nutrition
- Smaller
- Overwork ( Good till the body breaks down... )
etc.

I don't want to list everything up now, you get the idea (short life span etc.). Overweight etc. are in some countries a problem though, but it doesn't matter in this case.

average "Warriors" (medieval)/soldiers (modern) :

Modern day soldiers have the edge on this one I have to say. Reasoning would be Food+medicine (again). They also train on a daily basis.

Elite Forces:
Modern/Medieval:
Definitely modern day elite forces hands down. And no these are not "Rambos" ... popular belief. Cool-headed, sub-par concentration and dedication, physical+mental training, finesse. These guys are Monsters.

The only human which could well be on par with these soldiers ( but I doubt it ) are Ancient Greek Athletes.
Elite Medieval Veteran warriors would be really tough though, I can think of some.
Please just don't believe everything you are seeing in movies like 300. Yes Spartanian Hoplites were good, yes they were raised to fight, yes they had a hell of a body but for gods sake not like the shape in the movie. Also not the same fighting skills - far away from it.
Just wanted to clarify this.

And for the samurai: Indeed it is damn hard to cut the Paintball bullet but I don't want to know how many attempts it took him. Even if it took him 100 - it's good. Still no chance in a real 1 on 1 fight against a real Samurai of the past though :), hands down.

well in this modern society not everyone is in good condition as almost all of the world is not physically fit and healthy. I mean fast food and malnutrition makes up maybe about 35% of the world. Sure being overweight occurs in some country but those country are big countries like America and England. Also there is not medicine available to other people as some people suffer famine and poverty. The Greek athletes probably can par with elites but you never know if they were better than samurais. After all samurais have the weapon that can kill countless of people. Also people are weaker now than in the past because now we have a lot of distractions in our life. Sure we have more knowledge than the past and learn from it but we do not spend the time to be as fit as those in the past and have the amount of time to train like people from the past.

Are you kidding...?
How can someone even debate saying "not everyone". Obviously there are people who weigh too much / too low, that's the reason I said the " average" person nowadays + you are responding to your own question without even realizing it. It's obvious that third world countires have high percentages of malnutrition. Ah, speaking of malnutrition how high was the rate back then? You seem to have good sources (where exactly did you get this number from ->35%?)...
Nevermind coming btt: So, you do know that you can compare some countries from Africa with the past?
- nearly no food + bad water
- poor conditions
- bad healing bone fractures
- horrible teeth
- fast spreading illnesses
- minor injuries / illnesses resulting in deaths
etc.

Saying "not healthy" compared to this is just wow, I wonder where you got "almost all of the world" from.
Besides I was only doing comparisons to Physical strength while referring to the Greek Athletes. Why do you even compare a Samurai with a weapon to them ? It's obvious that any person becomes deadly with a weapon->surprise, Samurai have nothing in favor there. They were just normal warriors, it's not like they were insanely far above-average. Do you think 0815 people from the past trained? Why exactly should a peasant train when he is working/sleeping nearly all day long? Their work was their "training" and doom in itself. Destroying the body, I can't see anything being "fit" there. If you don't like/practice sports then so be it, nearly every person I know does actually some kind of activities/sports.
"Also people are weaker now than in the past because now we have a lot of distractions in our life" <-- not right bro

I dont think you know the type of training samurais have to do to maintain their ways. Samurais need to have endurance, strength and mental training. Though samurais dont look buff as Greek athletes muscle can, too much muscle for samurais can get in the way sometimes like dodging an enemy sword. Since they had a working lifestyle back then wouldn't it be training their muscles if they do work everyday. There work may kill them but how would you know were you living a life like theirs. I dont think they will destroying their bodies because they want too be more fit.If someone dies of overworking it means that they worked to point to death while most warriors even Greek Athletes would have been dead by overworking. How is my quote not right there are people overweight and malnutrition now and have you seen the rates of an average person in this world. In America(im just saying in America) that there are 35% normal, 26% obese, and 36% overweight although there needs to be another 3% this is an average from this website:http://www.gallup.com/poll/145802/Adult-Obesity-Stabilizes-2010.aspx?utm_source=tagrss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=syndication&utm_term=Wellbeing
All the countries were like that at some time in the past it just depends on when you want to go back. Anyway people were not always in the following conditions above like poor conditions. The kings and had a luxurious life, people in the past improvised, teeth of course no one can do anything about that in the past, although there are a few percentage there are people immune and don't even come to contact with the illness, medicine was available to them too not like it never was. Also out of America(im not saying the world because i dont want to go to those specific but if you make me ill do it) about 35% of people are nutritious(could be lower or higher i don't know just flat out guessing). fast food and soda is probably the main factor why people are obese and overweight.
