I can't believe this lineup... You didn't even get any good ones out of what 11 new shows? What happened to God only Knows season 2?... I know some people like these coming shows but I am one who will gladly state my mind that I do not like this and think it's just horrible and you could have done a survey and then pick the top choices and try to get those instead of picking random junk and hope people watch it.

For one thing, TWGOK Season 2 is not a Winter 2011 show. Last I heard it is slated for Spring 2011.

Second, your comment shows that you know nothing about how licensing of shows actually works. If they could have a poll and get the rights to the top choices of their members, I'm sure they would do that. Unfortunately, they have to actually pay for the rights to these shows, which means they have to negotiate streaming rights with the people that make and broadcast them in Japan. If they just grabbed the most popular things and put them on their site without negotiating rights, that would be ILLEGAL.

I personally wanted to watch several of the shows that they got, and didn't think that the Winter 2011 list of shows looked that great to begin with, so I am pleased at the ones they got. (I will catch Fractale and IS elsewhere. Otherwise, I think they have me covered...)

All I said was they should do a poll to see what shows the users want and try to get those shows. With Crunchyroll almost 100% monopoly on the Internet legal stream market they are very likely to get the top 10 choices easily.

They are simulcasting almost half of the Winter 2011 Anime that are being broadcast in Japan (and one that is actually an OVA in Saint Seiya). As some others have asked, what are the "good ones" that you think they are missing? There were a total of 17 shows listed by ANN and 19 at MyAnimeList.net (which included two that started in December). Looking at the options, I think they did a pretty good job.

As for taking a poll, if you look at the most recent newsletter, you will see that they had some staff writers make up their "wish lists" for what anime they should get and asked the readers to send an e-mail to them so they could "be a part of this movement to let Japan know exactly what should be on Crunchyroll". I suggest you follow their suggestion and send an e-mail to the newsletter so they can include your comments in their message to the Anime industry.

If you hadn't mentioned TWGOK in your original complaint about how bad the shows are, I doubt that anyone would have bothered responding to your trolling. But if you really think that CR can waltz into negotiations and tell the Japanese broadcasters what shows they want and get them, you are increadibly naive. The Anime Network, Anime News Network, and Funimation are all in the market to get shows too, and some networks don't seem to like to give streaming rights to shows (TBS).

Also, you are free to grumble all you want, but don't expect people to take your grumbling seriously when you get your information by searching on YouTube (as you mentioned in another post). At least go to one of the sites that has reliable info like My Anime List or Anime News Network.

Sankyuu x2 for Level E and Hourou Musuko. These were the two I was most looking forward to (besides Starry Sky -- which turned out to suck bad). Strangely, I've found that the series I wasn't expecting to like but watched the first ep just to see were the ones I liked the most so far.

Even if they simulcast every show, they still won't let my country watch it

Same here. The preview also appeared to end a second or two early.

What makes you think they "picked" shows? They say they want them all: and of the eight that they did not get, three clearly have members of the production committee that are not interested in simulcasting, and one is already taken by G4.

SO basically that leaves Fractale, Kimi ni Todoke 2, Freezing, and Onii-chan no Koto nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne!!

Of course, for whatever reason, Kimi no Todoke was not available to Crunchyroll, so Kimi no Todoke 2 likely isn't. Crunchyroll surprisingly got one of the two noitaminA anime, where there is a deal in place with Funimation, but its widely expected that Funimation picked up Fractale. And its widely speculated that Freezing either was picked up by TAN or is in negotiation.

So basically the whole argument boils down to the assumption that the incest series would have been a popular pick, and the assumption that CR passed on it rather than it being unavailable to CR for some reason.

Yeah, that is exactly what I meant! You just said it better.

I do expect to see Freezing on TAN. After they had High School of the Dead and Samurai Girls, Freezing looks right up their alley for what they choose to simulcast. (Outrageously large breasts and fan service... Not that High School of the Dead didn't also have cool zombie mayhem and actual decent dialog to go with the jiggle and panty shots... And that between the jiggle, slo-mo bullet shot was mind-bending!)

Only 4/8 simulcasts are accessible from Australia. I wonder if anyone has it worse...

EDIT: It's now 6/10.

Here We Are! From Italy (but also from central and south of Europe) we can see only Rio - Rainbow Gate. It's 1/10 great percentage, isnt'it?

It's needless to say that Crunchyroll Staff has really made me disappoited this time
Last season we had 5 new series, now only one? No good, absolutely
