I think this puts me at 6 of 8 so far. I'm pretty happy with that.

Looking forward to seeing what the last two are

Looks cool! So far I'll be watching at least 4 new series on Crunchyroll this season. Maybe one or two more depending on what is announced later. I'll at least be checking out the first episodes of all the new shows, so I can judge them after giving each a chance. I hate the idea of missing out a great anime because I decided to judge it based off its synopsis and/or preview.

but level e was nowhere near my list of winter shows I wanted to see streamed, and unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat in surprise, another great show called kimi ni todoke will be overlooked once again, why do the shows I want to see the most, never get simulcasted,

index, railgun, kimi ni todoke, psychic detective yakumo, MM!, arakawa under the bridge (season 1 and 2), motto to love ru, index 2, Amagami SS, angel beats,

so many great shows that have been overlooked for legal streaming, but yet the japanese anime companies cry about illegal fansubs and streaming sites, if they would just make these shows easier for companies to license so they can be simulcast, or maybe these shows were considered no good enough for simulcasting,

I can give you a definite answer on two of those: Funimation licensed both the first Index series and Railgun last year, and the last I heard, both are to be out on DVD some time this year. Funimation no doubt could stream these now, but as they see streaming as promotion for DVD sales, will probably wait closer to the time of the DVD release to do so.

Although Funimation has not licensed Index II, I suspect the licensor has held off on offering streaming rights "just in case". I keep hoping they'll tire of waiting on Funimation, but that has not happened yet.

As to Arakawa Under the Bridge, the only item I can offer is that I have noticed is that few anime from SHAFT have been simulcast. I think the last one here on CR was Natsu no Arashi ! .

I know that index and railgun will be released by funimation, they talked about it on an ANN podcast, and lance said something along the lines about index and railgun, is that they were having issues, and were trying to get them worked out, that could be the reason we haven't seen them on the funi site yet,

licensing a show for DVD/Blu-ray release is fine, but unfortunately that usually takes about 2 years after a show has already aired in japan, and with simulcasts being more and more popular, people want to see a show as soon as it airs in japan, and what CR is doing is great, I am a premium member, and as long as they license shows I want to see simulcast, I will continue to be a paid member,
all I am trying to say is, it seems that the shows that become the most popular, like index, railgun, kimi ni todoke, K-On and others, never seem to get picked up for simulcast, and sadly this is why fansubs are still around, if all the shows that are scheduled to come out in each season, were picked up by legal online companies, and streamed 1 hour after broadcast in japan, then fansubs would start to fade away, sure there will be some, but not as many as there are now,

I better stop because I can go on and on about this, and this forum is about the new licenses on CR, and they have 6 new shows and a couple of continuing shows I plan on watching this season, so I am happy, sure I know they wont get everything I like, but it is nice to wish,

and it looks like they changed the last license back to today, the TBD has been removed

That is good news. Apparently what ever issue arose was resolved quickly.

Well that brings me good news, Houro Musuko is available here. Now, all is left is the last series which will most likely be Level E. Thanks for getting these series CR! I am absolutely grateful for what you've gotten us!
